WDT Flick Tool

This is an awesome gadget. Sure it breaks up any clumping and distributes the coffee nicely like a WDT should. What I really love is the retractability and that I can hang it magnetically. The build quality is very nice and the compact size is a plus. This works well and I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is an incredibly satisfying WDT tool with impeccable design. The fact they opted for magnets instead of spring loaded is genius and I have full confidence this device will last me a very long time. The two mounting options of magnetic vs stand like a pencil is very convenient for multiple applications. It's got some weight to it which makes it feel quality too.

I’ll be honest—I didn’t think I needed the Subminimal Flick WDT Tool. It’s usually marketed for espresso prep, and I use it solely for pour over. But after trying it out, I’m pleasantly surprised at how much more consistent my brews have become. 🛠️ Top-Notch Build Quality: This isn’t your average piece of coffee gear. The finish is flawless, and the needles are strong yet flexible. 🎨 Modern & Minimalist Design: It blends in perfectly with my coffee bar setup—sleek, understated, and space-efficient. Its slim form makes it easy to tuck away, but I honestly leave it out because it looks so clean and intentional. ☕ Fantastic Ground Distribution: Even though it’s designed for espresso, it works wonders with my pour over routine. Distributing grounds evenly before brewing has noticeably reduced channeling and helped me achieve more balanced extractions. It’s not magic, but it’s pretty darn close. 🧐 Is It Essential? Probably not. But is it useful? Absolutely. It’s one of those accessories that feels like a luxury add-on but ends up earning its place in the daily routine. If you're into coffee and appreciate gear that’s both functional and beautiful, the Flick won’t disappoint—even if espresso isn’t your thing.

I’ve been seeing this on social media and was shocked to see it so affordable. Super fun to use. Does the job without issue. I am still working on finding an easy way to clean it, but overall I am satisfied.

Total game changer, lightweight but sturdy, improved my espresso game a lot, totally recommended, works way better than other WDT, totally worth the money pretty easy to use and store, a must if you want to improve your puck prep or even just get a better tasting cup using a oxo rapid brewer.

The quality of the WDT tool is great, super sleek design and has some weight to it so it feels high end. Not only does it look and work great, its super fun to use! Just press the button and the needles come out, then flick it back and they pop back in! It comes with extra needles if something happens and also a stand to hold it upright on your coffee bar. If you are short on space, it is also magnetic and can attach to the side of your machine. It is worth the price and it works so much better than the cheap WDT I was using before that I can say with confidence that it will have a permanent spot on my coffee bar!

I LOVE this WDT!! It is SOOO convenient, to be able to retract the needles. Just remember that they are fairly delicate, and can bend easily. If they get too bent up, they may not want to retract. However, they can be straightened back out, without too much effort. And, there are replacement needles available from Subminimal, if needed. I recommend giving the needles a gentle wipe, before retracting them. This will keep coffee grounds from potentially making their way into the main body of the WDT, and possibly accumulating inside. I definitely recommend this product, as an addition to your coffee/espresso making toolkit.
