Exactly What I Wanted to Use with Filters
I bought this because I wanted to start using paper filters and needed a basket with straight sides. This basket is working great. It just BARELY squeezed into my naked portafilter, which I believe is a standard Rancilio size (the machine is a Profitec Pro800). I’m glad I don’t have to remove it often. I’m pulling great shots and I really like using filters. I have adapted to having to knock out the spent puck. With my tapered basket I could shake it out. The straight sides of this basket require a bit more violence to dislodge the puck but I’m keeping it.
