Seems tough.
We received our medium size jolly ball this afternoon. It is exactly as described and our dog loves it. Our dog is a 30 lb corgi red healer mix and can chew through anything. This ball is great, the handle will last only a few days, but the ball itself will last a long time. I am very happy with my purchase. The price was just right and I am a happy dog mom.

My dog loves it!
I have a very active 60 pound "mutt" with high energy. He loves this ball! It probably isn't 100% chew proof, nothing is with a heavy chewer, but my dog is more interested in racing around the yard with it than chewing on it. He loves to fetch it, play "chase" with it, push it around in his kiddy pool, and even throw it to himself. He only plays with it under my supervision (which really should be the case with all dogs and their toys) so I think it is going to last a long time. For my dog it has to be an outdoor toy only and is stored outdoors when the dog comes inside, otherwise I could see him throwing it around the house and possibly breaking things. He really flings it sometimes! And it is quite heavy and more on the solid side, not squishy. If it were to hit a precious knick-knack, or a lamp, those things would smash to the floor! The "handle" makes it super easy for the dog to pick it up. It didn't take long for him to figure out that was the way to carry it. He tried biting it at first, but now he just rolls it with his paw until the handle is in a better position for him to grab it, and off he goes.

Not indestructible, but excellent ball
My German Shepherd loves these to death. I have the 8" and 10" sizes. We need two to play because she doesn't like to give it up easily. She carries one by the handle and runs after the thrown ball to stop it with her front feet, all the time not releasing her ball. She's a heavy chewer and that handle will eventually show signs of it. Because of the handle the ball can bounce differently which increases the fun.

It's ok
My American Bully is a destroyer of toys. Basketballs only last a few minutes. We got this hoping it would last longer. Within 5 minutes the handle was half gone. After I sliced off the rest of the handle, the ball itself has been great. It's a soft rubber, and I am impressed with how long it's lasted. It keeps it's shape.

My dog's favorite toy at the dog park
My 55 lb Malinois LOVES the dog park. She loves all the dogs, but doesn't love chasing after frisbees or balls - she wants to chase the dog chasing the frisbees and the balls. The park had this ball for every dog's use, but the handle had been chewed off so I wasn't able to throw it as far anymore. I bought another one for her to play with and she absolutely loves fetching, and looks the most adorable when she carries it back in her mouth. The only downside to this is the material used. It starts off very heavy, but it doesn't last long sitting outside in the desert sun. It quickly becomes brittle and easy to chew through and puncture. I get that I live in an extreme climate, but this is definitely meant to be used as an outdoor toy so I was hoping it would last a little longer. I will still buy another one though when the handle is completely chewed off again, though.

One of my dogs thinks this is the best toy ever.
My dog loves this. He carries it everywhere with him and he plays with it every time he goes outside. I like it because it stands up to his roughness, it doesn't go flat and it keeps him busy when I have things to do.

My dog loves this ball
This is my second jolly ball, my brother's dog chewed the handle off of the first one and my dog was not very happy about that and no longer wanted to play with it because he had a hard time picking it up.He loves loves loves his jolly ball. He always wants me to play tug, but with him holding the handle and me holding the ball, which doesn't work out very well, for me at least. I can tell him to go find his big ball and he will walk around the yard looking for it and bring it to me. He will seek out and bring me sticks and balls when asked (and when not asked), and he always chooses the jolly ball over other balls.I have a hard time throwing it very far because my body is trying to fall apart, but my brother can really chunk it far. So if you have any sort of shoulder or arm problems, you might have a hard time throwing it very far like I do, but your dog will still love it. It's not super heavy, but it's definitely heavier than a tennis ball, which I can't throw very far either. Our first ball did not have a scent, but this one smelled like blueberries. It was nice while it lasted, now it probably smells like dirt and slobber. I'm sure the dogs can still smell the blueberry scent, but I can't and I'm not inclined to get my nose close enough to investigate further. This might be a nice feature for a visually impaired dog, but I'm not sure how powerful the scent is after some time, as stated above, I can no longer smell it from a distance but who knows what my dog can smell. While this ball looks really hard it's actually pretty malleable. Don't get me wrong, it will hurt your foot a little if you kick it and it will sure hurt if you played dodgeball with it. It's pretty firm yet malleable. My dog likes to repeatedly chomp down on it, biting it over and over for several minutes at a time. This is the same technique I have seen him use to dispatch a few unfortunate critters that weren't quite coordinated or intelligent enough to make an escape. I assume he uses his jolly ball to make sure he brings his a-game when a chomping opportunity arises, like the dog equivalent to lifting weights lol. Whatever the case, this activity is quite therapeutic to him and he really seems to enjoy it. No other toy seems to give him the same satisfaction. He gives it a resounding 10/10 for chompability. The jolly ball is definitely his 2nd favorite toy, #1 is reserved for the laser light, and the laser is really more of an addiction for my dog than a toy, so I guess technically the jolly ball is his #1 favorite toy! I'll definitely be replacing this one when the time comes!

fun but handle is easily chewed
My bull terrier loved this but chewed the handle off quickly. I had better luck with the ball that has a rope through the middle - not as easy to chew.

Durable
This is my dog's new favourite ball, all other balls ceased to exist once I gave this to him! He's a 100 lb German Shepherd so he can be rough on toys. This one is holding up well. The handle makes it easy for him to carry around.

Durable
My dog destroys any toy within 5 minutes. This toys is very durable. Her teeth do penetrate the ball but it doesn’t affect the ball in anyway. I am impressed with this product.

My dogs love these!
My dogs (bulldogs) will play with these for hours. Whether it's throwing them for them, or them kicking/playing with them around the yard (almost like dog soccer), they're fantastic and hold up decently to chewing.

The larger size is great for X large breeds
I have a mastiff puppy who weighs about 120 pounds (and still growing), this ball is perfect. It is big enough he can grab the handle and run with it and he loves to run and play fetch with it. We have a smaller dog as well and his ball didn't work as well as it was a bit too small to keep his interest. It is very durable, although it is only an outside toy so he won't be chewing it.
