Easy installation, fit well on adjustable gorilla ladder, made climbing on my roof a breeze as it went over my gutters onto cement tiles. Easily held 200lbs

Now I can easily paint the trim on my house. I've painted several houses through the years. But now at 70 years old, standing on top of the extension ladder feels different. A little unsteady. This ladder stabilizer works great. Feels much more secure. And easier to paint trim, as it allows ladder to stand away, so I don't have to lean out. The product is well constructed, and easily assembled. Good powder-coat finish. The hardware supplied work well, even the nuts. I did add washers to protect finish. The only negative would be the rubber feet. Like most imported rubber, it marks the side of house. The marks will clean off. The positives way out number the one negative. I'd buy it again. $$ well spent!!

I would give 4 1/2 stars with the following PROs, CONs, & a tip: PRO: This brace works very well, I feel much steadier while using this brace to go up on my roof. It assembled and attached easily and removed from my ladder easily after use by removing the two "U" bolts, the unit lifts off and stays assembled for storage until next use. The paint seems to be good quality. Using the brace allows me to avoid damaging my rain gutters. CON: A minor issue is it should have included lockwashers (not just flat washers) to keep the bolts from loosening up while using the brace. I also had to be careful with threading the nuts onto the bolts for the first time - a little better machining would make it much easier to thread and not cross-thread. TIP: Get some lockwashers to keep the brace bolts from loosening up and use a socket & ratchet to speed up assembly. Also, ladder storage is tougher if you keep the brace attached because you can't retract the extension ladder. This is an FYI and only matters if you have limited space like I do. (I didn't remove any stars for this since I knew this would happen). Overall I recommend it because of the much-improved safety it provides.

If I had had one of these attached to my ladder(s) years ago, I would have felt and been a lot safer. Now, as I'm, as they say, not getting any younger, this ladder brace not only makes getting on the roof and cleaning the gutters a whole new and much safer activity. The standoff also saves the gutters from any risk of damage. All positives, no negatives. Easy to assemble and install, or move to a different ladder.

Very easy to assemble and is very sturdy when climbing off and on ladder. Is a little top heavy but manageable.

In general this product feels sturdy but unfortunately since it requires assembly, the included hardware is entirely too long for a regular Werner extension ladder. Once the bolts are installed in the brackets, there is no way to completely retract the ladder without the bolts striking the inner ladder section. Additionally, it is very heavy to use.

Excellent for stabilizing and holding my 20 ft telescoping ladder off the wall. Makes several home projects possible. I borrowed a professional painters stabilized ladder fifteen years ago, and was meaning to get my own eventually to replace the can lights in a vaulted ceiling with modern LED color adjusting dimmable ones. It was able to handle a 120 degree wall transition near the front door. The only negatives are the black rubber marks on the wall. My painter covered the rubber with cloth. Oh and the anchor U bolts were too big for the rungs, eventually I’ll have to try to grab 2 rungs or change out the bolts.

Needs carriage bolts where it touches roof but otherwise well made. Does what you need it for. Feel safe ladder won't shift

Took me a while to figure out how best to attach the unit. The diagram shows how to assemble the unit but nothing to show how best to attach to the ladder. Once attached, it provides a very stable top assembly to stabilise the ladder at the roof. Happy that it makes the ladder safer for me to use when cleaning gutters.

Good quality, but no instructions and didn’t fit my ladder The stabiliser is made of strong, heavy-duty steel and feels very solid. It adds good support, and the anti-slip rubber feet are a nice safety feature. However, no instructions or washers were included, which made installation frustrating. It also didn’t fit with my ladder. Good product overall, but it would be much better with proper instructions and clearer compatibility information.
