This cream has been around a while now,and is very good for most skin irritations,itching..

Lanacane cream
This cream is ideal for skin irritation. It is nice and moist and very effective. It seems to be hard to buy so I am pleased to have found it on Amazon.

Works well but for short term use only.
Its creme to reduce itching. Works very well over a limited period. For relative short term occassional use as contains benzocaine. Can be difficult to get hold of in pharmacies. Not recommended these days but really does work. Just dont let it be "addictive"

This product is not cheap, but a very thin coating does give almost immediate relief from intense itching every time.
