A must have if you have unsteady people in your care
Purchased this for someone unsteady on their feet and so glad I did. Unfortunately, this person has fallen a number of times and we've had to call in help to get them up a number of times. I was hesitant to purchase due to the price but, in addition to thinking it could be helpful to an elderly neighbor, I decided to go ahead and buy it. I'm so glad I did! It is very easy to use and has saved our backs many times. It begins on the floor level with side flaps to help you easily roll the person who has fallen or simply can't get up from the floor, onto the seat. Then you just push a button and the seat raises to chair height so that you may easily transfer the person to another seat, wheelchair, or so that they may easily stand at that point. We've used it many times and it's been a huge help to us.

Good elderly lift
It works. We havenโt had to use it yet, but we tested it and it works well. The price is great.

Works, but not exactly "light"!
I bought this as a precaution...an insurance policy of sorts. I have always worried that if my husband, who weighs over 200 pounds (I am 120 pounds) were to fall, I would not be able to lift him from the floor. If he was not injured, I would hate to bother the first responders just to help get him back on his feet. I think this chair will be perfect for this purpose...one of those things I hope I will never need, just like homeowners and auto insurance. We tried it out after it arrived, and my husband was able to scoot on to it and it lifted him with ease. The instructions say that you need to keep it charged because you cannot operate it while plugged in, so I have set a reminderon my calendar to charge it once a month. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because it is rather heavy, and if you have issues carrying a heavyish item, this will not work for you.

Big Help!
This has been a real help when my wife falls and can't get up. I bring it out, set it up and she maneuvers onto it. I raise her up and it's like she's sitting on a chair. Hold her hands and she stands up. This has definitely been a real help. The device is a bit on the heavy side, BUT not so as to be unusable. I definitely like that it's battery powered and does not require any connections to external power except when charging the battery. Thanks.

VOCIC electric chair lift
This lift has been a godsend! There is a bit of a learning curve to help your loved one onto it, once they are on it, it works quickly and well. This is not a good product for a person that has difficulty scooting sideways with low upper body strength as getting on to the chair seat is a bit challenging.

Bad customer service
This is probably a great item, but, I canโt put together so itโs worthless. Im 84 and I fall. This seemed like dream, but itโs more of nightmare. I feel even more helpless. I called 5 times, only one call was returned. As it stands now, itโs an expensive piece of junk. I could cry.

Used it in for bathing - Happy with performance and features
Oh it's so nice to take a bath again instead of a shower! It's a little heavy for a senior woman, but I managed without too much difficulty - and it is lighter weight than most other lift chairs. Also, if it was too light-weight it wouldn't have felt as sturdy when using it, so I don't mind the trade-off. It's one of the few that I found that lowers to within a few inches of the tub floor, and that reclines. Two important features for me. The only 2 things I will do differently next time are: I'll put the tub mat under the chair because once you get out of the tub it's a bugger to get the suction cups loose. They do have tabs to break the suction so that part's easy -- but it involves reaching around to the other side to loosen 2 of the cups. Had to step back in to remove it. Sitting it on a non-slip mat should solve that problem easily. Also, I'll have to put a mat under me for some extra padding -- guess it would be a lot to ask for an auto tub lift suitable for reveling in an hour-long bath (like I said, I missed getting down into a tub)!! :-) Quite happy with this product.

ok for extra help, can't be used on your own
I don't remember mine coming with a charger, so once it dies I'm done. It has helped me get my husband off the floor when he falls, but you have to be a little strong to make sure you can carry it and stand real close cause it will tip over if they move or are not sitting straight. good for the price I guess.

It's not ready for use in the UK/Ireland
I live in Ireland and I cannot believe that this product was sold through Amazon UK ad was delivered without an adapter to use it with Irish voltage/plug. I ordered ir specifically from the UK (a lot more expensive than ordering from the US) so that it would be compatible with our voltage and sockets. I cannot even try out the chair lift to give it a review. Also it was advertised as a chair lift and the user manual is for a bath lift. I feel really disappointed and duped into buying something which I could have bought for less from the US.

It works well
It really does work. I've had to use it twice since I purchased it a few months ago and am realy impressed with it. I found the instructions a little weak but it isnt hard to figure out. The challenge is that you need to get it or the person into an appropriate position to use it, but that would be true of any situation.

Every caregiver should have one
All people with elderly family members should have this. Makes getting someone who has fallen or lost their balance much easier , with less chance if injury to the person helping them. Also great for in the bathtub...non stick or slide, makes person feel safe while allowing them to have a nice bath

Fall assist
Bought this unit after a fall . Now my elderly neighbours can get me off the floor as long as nothing is broken.

Adding arms to the chair would really help out a person with mobility issues.
It works well but because there's no arms so it's difficult for my husband to position himself and not fall off the chair because of his mobility issues. He has nothing to hang on to.
