When I first saw this, I doubted a small flashlight could be worth this cost. There are lots of black lights out there much cheaper than this. But dear reader, most other black lights are not 365nm 20W lights. Other black lights' nanometers tend to be up around 395nm, which cannot do what this can do.I have many black lights. I took a 395nm black light all around my house and looked at everything. There were a few surprises now and then. But wow, when I took this baby around afterward to compare, it was night and day. Everywhere I looked I saw things the other black light couldn't dream of revealing. Some of it was fascinating. Some horrifying. It made me want to clean every square inch of my house.Here's the other thing, even if your black light is 365nm, it might not be very bright, and it would be hard for you to tell because the lower the nanometers of your light, the less visible it will be. The only way you'd know is when it hits something that fluoresces. 20W at 365nm is *very* bright, but if the object you're illuminating doesn't respond well to black light, even a very bright black light will look extremely dim or like it's not even working.Cheaper 395nm black lights have much more of the visible spectrum, so they seem brighter everywhere you look, but they reveal far less that's hidden to normal vision than a 365nm light that seems much dimmer.That's why it's so important to wear safety glasses when using these! Your pupils are not prepared for the intense brightness of the light shining into them because your eyes can't even see it to respond to it.I love that it's rechargeable instead of using external batteries. It holds a charge well and it lasts for a fewer hours of very active use.

This little light packs a punch! The UV light definitely works...I have three kids and a dog and let's just say that after using it, I was slightly horrified, ha ha! It's really useful seeing the unseen and knowing what needs a bit more attention.The light itself is pretty bright as well! I wasn't sure what to expect because it's not a big flashlight but it surprisingly exceeded my expectations. It has good weight to it and is very sturdy. I also love the fact that it charges with a c cable! I hate using batteries so much because right when you need them, you don't have them on hand!It's just very handy and useful. Definitely good quality.

Not the brightest black light flashlight I've used, but it's decent. Works great for assorted purposes. It's very sturdy.

My kids and I had so much fun going around the house looking for cat pee spots. We mainly may saw all the places I need to clean better. This shows everything, every speck of dust, it glows and looks disturbing. The flash light works best at night and is very bright. It’s easy to use and seems good quality. If you use it too long it does get hot, that’s the main downside. My kids wanted to keep investigating but we had to turn it off after 10 minutes cause it was hot to the touch. Still I would recommend this!

This Darkdawn UV flashlight is the first UV light I've owned and WOW I am blown away at the stuff it lights up. I have two dogs and they are great and on a great schedule, but accidents can happen. This light will highlight recent staining of carpet and existing stains. I live in an apartment, and I saw things in the carpet enough to go buy a steam cleaner. I am a bit of a germaphobe, and this light lit up a lot of questionable areas in my apartment. I plan on doing a deep clean of my walls and bathroom after seeing it all under this light! I cannot imagine lighting up a hotel room, I think I would go back home!The light itself came packaged great, has a carry case and USB C charging cable. So far, I have only charged it once and it shows no sign of losing power.Besides the use for looking at stains, it is also very cool to light up items that have fluorescence. I think this could be really fun to go out and light up different things that your eye doesn't normally catch.

This light is bright - that's why there are safety glasses included! While this light is good for detecting pet urine, there are many other things that will fluoresce in this light. Some reviewers say they didn't realize how dirty their house/clothes/... are, but laundry detergent and some cleaners will fluoresce, so you may not be as dirty as you think you are. Use the safety glasses, but don't be too hard on yourself until you know exactly what you're seeing.

DARKDAWN High Power UV 365nm Flashlight is the second UV flashlight I've owned, and this is hands down - by far - the best. Small but substantial, it told me very quickly what I needed to know.The reason I ordered this light is my cat recently went through a bad bout of crystals in his bladder. He was hurting so badly he was squatting outside his box. The good news is 1) he's fine now and 2) the light revealed he did not leave pee spots anywhere. Good boy.The bad news is we need gloves and bleach to clean up our own bathrooms. They look clean and get mopped and wiped down every week, but there were areas that ~ egad, I can hardly stand to think about it. However, once you know the truth you can get after making it better, right?I like that this light is rechargeable. It comes with a little holster and belt loop. I'm sure the glasses protect our eyes from the UV (note to self: read the instructions).This is a wonderful tool to add to my cleaning arsenal and it solves the mystery of "where is that smell coming from?"
