Noodler's Ink Fountain Pen Bottled Ink, 3oz, North African Violet

A really rich purple color, flows well. The subtle variation in shading across a stroke looks beautiful and adds some extra texture to your handwriting. Quite permanent- one problem is that this does NOT wash off easily with water unless it's a hard surface and you get it cleaned up moments after a drip or spill, so be careful not to get this on anything you don't want to get inky. Seriously the ink stains my hand for a couple of days of frequent hand washing and rubbing alcohol rinses. Scary stuff :D

Voilà un beau et pur violet ! Ni rouge tirant sur le prune, ni bleu tirant sur le lavande, c’est un vrai violet intense. Le glaçon est généreux ( 90 ml. !), rempli à ras bord, et l’encre en plus d’être d’une superbe couleur est également très résistante à l’eau... une fois sèche rien ne l’a fait pâlir. J’ai fait passer un pinceau mouillé plusieurs fois sur mon essai, sur le quadrillage, et la foi, l’effet a été on ne peut plus minime. C’est une très bonne encre qui sera parfaite pour la correspondance et les enveloppes même par temps de pluie !

I received "Sequoia Green" Noodler's Ink Sequoia Bottled Ink Refill instead of "African Violet" in my order. The barcode on the box states that the box contains African Violet but the bottle inside is clearly labelled Sequoia Green. The ink inside is undoubtedly green (see attached image).

Like the other V-Mail inks from Noodler's this has good staying properties. It is rather water resistant (not water proof). Put it on paper and there will always be some of the ink that remains after exposure to water. The color is a little subdued, but a nice violet/purple (you pick the color name you like.)
