Gas Brake Pedal Covers Kit For Jeep Wrangler JL/JLU 4XE 2018-2026

This is a must for anyone who owns a Jeep Wrangler! It is a world of difference for foot placement even on short trips! Easy to install, be patient as things are tight for space thru that doorway. Take your time (about 30min) The dead pedal blends right in like a piece of OEM equipment (It should be OEM equipment, Jeep if you are listening!) I put the assembly together right in the middle bolt and it seems fine. Foot angle was good. Also no issue getting the floor liner in and out to clean. The pedal does have enough movement to do so! Very happy with this purchase!

Sounds crazy, but no place to rest my left foot while driving was becoming a deal-killer with my new 2024 Wrangler Sport JL 4XE. Honestly, I think it's insane that Jeep doesn't provide one. Guess that's good for the entrepreneurs at SHEAM who designed this dead pedal. Yes, it's compatible with my particular Jeep, which is awesome (and seemingly most Jeeps with all the extra parts). It's quite sturdy and totally solves the problem. As others mention, it's a bit tricky to install. I followed the pictures on this Amazon page because no instructions came with the pedal - just an inventory of parts. The real challenge is working in very tight space behind the gas pedal and break - all at awkward angles. This isn't SHEAM's fault. But once installed, what a difference!!! I took my Jeep for a spin and loved the feel of footrest. Especially when taking a tighter turn. I also like that you can adjust the position of the pedal depending on how you sit. Highly recommend this particular product based on my initial experience. Bravo SHEAM!

The box this came in says quality to me. Everything was packed beautifully. The peddle itself is very nice looking and matches my jeep peddles well. A closer look at the parts tells a different story about their quality control. One bracket had paint missing. One hole was not tapped completely, and the hardware didn't match. It's not hard to install unless you're old like me and can't bend as much. Getting up and down and bending under the dash is what killed me. A younger more flexible person would have no problem. Overall I still give it a four. It's much nicer and sturdier than others out there. I like the stability of a two-point attachment to the firewall. It also works great. I'm glad I bought it.

It seems normal these days to make cars with a left foot rest, especially with an automatic transmission, but Jeep didn’t. I’m 6ft tall and just couldn’t find a comfortable spot for my foot until I installed this device and now I’m less fatigued while driving. This dead pedal rest is of quality construction and installed without drama in my 2023 Jeep JLU diesel with automatic transmission. You will have to use a flashlight and get your head on the floor, under the dash, to see how the bracket mounts, then you just have to bolt it in. Worthwhile upgrade for both comfort and support.

Directions suck. You will find a better solution watching youtube. The product itself is pretty good and seems to be good quality. You will have to remove 3 washers. The upper washer is then replaced by an extender and bolt with washer and washer lock. I would put the whole thing together then try to get the bolt in the upper portion first. It is a tight squeeze and is very uncomfortable. I'm 5'9" and 200lbs. Once you get the bolt in, the rest is easy. It is nice once you have it installed. Just looking at the picture is better than the directions. You will have a good amount of extra parts.

This was a mostly straightforward install on my JL. Took about an hour. The upper mounting bolt is hard to reach and to see. Also, the middle mounting nut is hard to turn. Very short throw of the wrench handle. But once this is on, it is rock solid. This is not going to twist over toward the brake pedal. If you are putting a dead pedal on a jeep, you want total solidity like this. Oh yeah, and I do like where it sits for my foot. Just right.

Okay, I won't lie, and if you've read the reviews then you already know the install is not easy. I'm 6'2" 66 yr old man, so trying to squeeze into the crawl space just plain sucked for me. However, you only have to screw a long nut onto an existing bolt and one other nut to secure the pedal to the firewall. Definitely review the video which runs at hyper-speed (WHY?). I replayed it several times to find the right screw hole orientation. Now, with that all said and done, it wasn't the most awful install and really only took 20 minutes. If you aren't a contortionist, find a small person to do it' because it won't be hard for them. The pedal as stated in the reviews is sturdy and does make your left foot feel more stable while driving. Yes this product is expensive but, I do recommend this dead pedal over some of the others. My close friend got a cheaper one that flexes too much.
