More reliable then the Gen 2
So far I have had no issues with the “new” Gen 1. It has not failed once since installation! The original Gen 2 failed to keep connection approximately every four (4) hours and I tried every recovery method, including factory reset. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the purchase of any Gen 2 speakers. If you have one that works, great, I’ve got one (1)! If you’re buying new, steer clear of Gen 2’s. This is my personal opinion, supported by my personal experience with the item, others may or may not have had similar issues.

I highly recommend this!
I love both my nest minis and my smart house. It's small so it's out of the way. Easy to set up. Great quality, sounds is fine for what it is. I connected it to home theater for when I really want it to be loud playing music. Great connectivity! Highly recommend!

I’m so glad I bought this mini!! The sound quality is amazing 🤩. The price is right. Better than a clock radio for my bedroom. Also easy to setup…… as long as you remember to turn it on.

Satisfactory Used Nest
The nest was a used item. It was received well packaged. It was clean and functions as intended. The only negative was the supplied cord was chunky and black instead of the attractive original cord.

British Google not compatible
Should have read the description better but this product is no good. I bought it for a friend a few months ago and it has fallen out of the warranty window but it's a British google (we live in the US) and we have not been able to connect it to his network.

Works but sometimes it doesn’t hear me
Overall you can’t go wrong with this product as a speaker for music or to ask questions about the news or the weather. Downside is it takes up a lot of space and it doesn’t always hear my commands.

Plays radio stations that don't come in clear on other radios!
I already have a Google nest, which I love, so I bought this for a friend, & she loves it also! We both like listening to radio station KFUO, a Lutheran station which often plays well-loved hymns - this station does not come in clearly on other radios in this area, but it comes in crystal clear on our Google nests!!
