I'm a electronic Engineer Retire. I thought I was going to have to build one. I really didn't want to spend the time building one. I decided to check Amazon. I was shocked to find they sell DC to ac converter. The thing you need to know is how much power it takes to run the device you want to power up. I got it to take on vacation in August. For me I needed the 400watt. I tested it and it works great glad I didn't have to build one. The other thing is, it was cheaper than getting the parts, and building it myself.

Used it for an 4 hour road trip, plugged in my heating pad for my dog and her pups. Worked great

I do not recommend this power inverter. After connecting it to my car and using it to plug in other devices, my vehicle’s power outlet stopped working completely. It appears the inverter may have caused damage to the electrical system, as the outlet no longer functions at all. Before using this product, everything worked normally. Now I’m left dealing with a costly repair and the inconvenience of not being able to use my car’s power outlet anymore. Very disappointed with this purchase and would not buy again.

This inverter is functional and did a good job keeping my laptop and phone charged while in use. It’s also a good compact size and easy to use. However, it gets very hot during operation, so I would recommend monitoring it while using it. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to do, but the overheating is definitely something to keep an eye on.

I got this 400W power inverter mainly to power my CPAP machine on the road, and it’s been reliable for that. I also used it to inflate air beds, and it handled that just fine. However, when trying to power my work laptop, it had intermittent issues—sometimes it worked, other times it wouldn’t. So while it’s great for CPAPs and other small devices, I wouldn’t count on it for more sensitive electronics. Solid for basic power needs, but not perfect.

It works well on my Toyota Highlander, it worked perfectly with my little water boiler and portable pot. A must have for camping!
