In heneral we like this Sand Rake, but be warned: Its a Full Sized Rake, so NOT for smaller Sand Gardens

Does not tolerate the weather
This product worked well for a few weeks. However, I left it out in my Zen rock Garden and with exposure to the elements and the wood began to warp and the multipiece construction fell apart. It’s now unusable only a few months after I purchased it.

Easy to put together. Love the unfinished primal feel of this rake. Minimalist. Perfect for a Zen Garden.

Wonky
It would have been nice if the pieces shown also had threads, like the middle piece. It's wonky and didn't last long. I'll probably return it. Edited to say I didn't return it, instead I bought a 1 inch dowel at a hardware store, sanded down one end since the Japanese use matrix, 3/4 inch was too small. Used glue and the provided screw and it much better. So I think the original price for just the rake part is too much. It would be more cost effective to hire someone to make one, or make it yourself.
