9 month update: Shopping for a second monitor, so KTC is first on my list. I’ve had this UHD 160HZ monitor for 9 months and it’s still perfect after daily contact use. The clarity on this thing is so crispy. I’m a data engineer and spend hours on end viewing tabular data. My eyes are happy. ———- original review ——— I wanted a 4K high refresh monitor. I chose the KTC H27P22S, or the UHD 160hz, non-mini-led version. I have a MacBook Pro with a mini led display, and it’s amazing. It has over 2,554 local dimming zones. I love the tech, but am not sold that 526 zones offered on current 4K 27” monitors is enough when there’s 5x that on a screen with less than half the size. I wasn’t sure what to expect, since the price was much lower than well-known brands. Did my research and KTC started in 1994 and has been making OEM monitors for the name brands. They only recently started selling direct. So I took a chance. The reason the price is so low isn’t a reflection of quality, because the monitor is absolutely gorgeous playing Control at 4K with ray tracing and DLSS Quality mode enabled. It even brought new life to surfing the web. I’m coming from a Samsung CRG9, a 49” QHD monitor. Got it months before COVID hit and have been using it to work remotely since. The move to 4K for productivity work alone makes me very satisfied with my purchase. Both have high refresh rates. 60hz is perfect for a second/third monitor, but for your main? Once you experience 120hz+, it’s hard to go back. High quality monitor. Excellent picture quality out of the box, which I wasn’t anticipating, and well thought out packaging. Hands-down, I have no regrets. My guess is the price is so low because they’re sacrificing profit for glowing reviews like this. Get one before they inevitably earn a strong reputation and raise their prices to the inflated rates name brands can charge. It’s day one, so if anything bad happens I’ll update. There’s few reviews for this “lower-end” monitor. I’ll do my part to keep it transparent.

Awesome UI, minimalistic appearance, clean & simple. The 4k image is beautiful & awesome for the price it's totally worth it. Sucks that it doesn't have its own speaker but very reliable, no dead pixels after 2 months of use. I recommend this for anyone wondering if they should trust the brand. Never had a problem before. One more thing I use it on the ps5 & it's totally compatible with Vrr & Allm. The hdr is ok but usable as well. Great monitor!

This thing is spot on, I love the color, the size, and how easy it was to connect everything.

UPDATE: After six months, this monitor has stopped performing to its original specifications. It will no longer support RGB input on any input, and is limited to chroma-subsampled 4K, even with DisplayPort. KTC support was unhelpful and did not even understand my issue, then told me to return the monitor to Amazon despite that I am outside the return period. Now they are not returning my e-mails. After the monitor has failed and KTC's terrible support experience, I have to lower this review to one star. Key points: + case and stand feel sturdy despite toolless snap-together construction + quite good motion clarity (even more in MPRT strobing mode) + lots of connectivity for this price point + excellent sharpness, perfect clarity ~ mediocre contrast (typical IPS) ~ middling brightness, (not bad, not great) - useless HDR support - surprisingly significant bezel around the inside of the thin plastic rim Other notes: + The stand has a relatively large foot, but it's flat on the top, so you actually give up very little desk space (you can still set stuff on top of the foot.) ~ The monitor comes with Display Stream Compression enabled by default to support the 160Hz refresh rate. Turn this off if you want to use four separate monitors on a single GPU, or NVIDIA's Dynamic Super Resolution (even on another display.) Overall, a very good value for a high-refresh 4K gaming monitor! Also, the power adapter uses a standard C14 power cable, which is nice.

I didn't know what I was missing with 4k and a high refresh rate! I do studio work, day trading and gaming so I needed 3 monitors for the variety of tasks. I had never heard of KTC but read others' reviews stating that they are a grandfather-type brand that makes screens for a lot of the more well-known brands. It was between this and one of the INNOCN ones and for the higher refresh rate and about the same cost, I opted for these guys. Picture is clear, image is smooth and its great for gaming. No dead pixels or issues on arrival, to my surprise honestly. No tearing with the freesync/G-sync settings. I'm about a month into using them but so far, they're great. My main gripe is the power block that it comes with. I'm not sure why we can't just setup monitor power cables with the standard PC type cables like my old Dell 1440p ones had. Much less weight, and less space. All in all, super happy with these so far.

This thing is absolutely beautiful. I'm not an expert but this monitor works perfectly for me although I didn't play any games on it yet, but I bet it's gonna be awesome. I'm using it mainly for photoshop and it is fantastic. My first 4k screen and I couldn't be happier. The size is also great. 27 inches is not to big and not to small but just right. And remember if you dont like some things like colors and brightnes you can always change them in monitor settings. It's awesome. Thank you KTC for creating this beauty!

As advertised, great quick display 4K 60fps to 140 no problem, headphone jack doesn’t work in stereo, no owners manual on how to operate settings on display, had to look at similar products to even get and idea. Would return but not worth hassle as it’s a great price for an IPS display .

I got myself a monitor and can run higher Hz. Super simple to setup. Responds quick and likes their movable parts for the monitor.
