Fantastic Battery Life, Portable, Excellent Sound Quality, Built in Power Bank for devices.
Absolutely excellent Stereo sound for such a small Speaker, very surprising Base with very good to excellent mid range and high range(treble). A very decent sound power rating of 25W. Extremely good ease of use in connecting devices like Mobil Phones including IPHONE’s, Tablets. It allows Bluetooth Pairing of two devices at a time which is usually only possible with more expensive brands like Bose. Tho if you turn off a devices Bluetooth so as to be able to pair with other devices it seems to have absolutely no trouble in recognizing the previous device and you don’t have to Pair the device again for it to be recognized which is a very good thing. The Speaker seems to have no problems recognizing and pairing very quickly with numerous different makes of Bluetooth compatible devices including Sound Bars when set to transmit Bluetooth. The Build Quality seems excellent with a very excellent visual finish and the speaker is also small and dense which also shows it is very well Professionaly made. The device is very easy to carry and use both in door and outdoors and paying more for the extra power is well so worth it especially if you intend to use it outdoors. The very well made USB Mini charging lead fits any USB 2 or USB 3 hub for charging and is compatible with Most multi mains power USB chargargers like RavPower which charges 3 device at once and takes roughly 3 hours to charge the speaker from flat. The annoying downside when you first get the speaker from new is you need to charge the device for 10 minutes before you can use it but after that you can use the device while charging and takes approximately 3 hours for it to reach full charge. It would be nice if it had at least 30 mins of charge so as to be able to use the speaker straight out of the box. Once the device is charged you very easily get the 18 hours promised by the manufacturer between chargarges infact I got about two solid days out of it using it at on average half power. So you would probably get 18 hours out of it at full power if you choose to run it at that. There is very little sound distortion when using the speaker at full power over extended periods of time. Value for money I can only give 4 stars, tho when comparing the sound power rating with other Bluetooth Speaker manufacturers it is probably one of the cheapest going out there. So I would say it’s definetly worth the extra money especially with all the features you get with this Bluetooth Speaker and having a Built in Power bank for charging devices is a absolutely great feature for charging devices in the future. The speaker can be used both in Bluetooth mode and wired via an Aux cable and surprisingly their is very little difference in sound quality between using it in wired mode and Bluetooth. Tho I would say it probably is slightly better using it in wired mode so you really do get the best of both Worlds.

Break the speaker in 20hrs and you'll be rewarded
I'm convinced the reviews on here advising the lower priced Anker speakers are better are due to not breaking the speakers in as we're told with the more traditional amp and loudspeaker setups. The same logic applies. It's a great speaker after 20 hours use, the speaker cones open up and fire freely and there is a huge difference in clarity. It's regularly around £52-55 mark on a daily deal, strike then. For that money you get a 2 way speaker system (2 left, 2 right, not that there is much stereo staging as they are next to each other but that's the same for the majority) and from what I can make out, a rather impressive passive bass radiator firing to the rear. It is most definitely tuned to modern music (it is a portable bluetooth speaker after all) but is more than acceptable with all kinds of music, just turn the EQ settings off on your device, it doesn't need the bass boost. Therein lies the problem, we're so inclined to bump the bass up, there is no need, it delivers what it needs without, and for it's size and deal price it's impressive. It's not about to replace your prize hi-fi set up or expensive soundbar, it's a slightly larger bluetooth speaker, maybe a little on the large side for throwing in your suitcase but perfectly sized with enough volume for moving around the house and garden. Great battery life, acts as a power source for your device if required, and also has traditional AUX in, which where possible for long straight listening I still tend to go for. My advice, deal of the day, buy it, break it in by playing the radio through it whilst you're out for a few days, and enjoy.

Great for the money
This is a great solid unit. Used daily and follows me round the house. Bedroom, Gym room, office, kitchen, bathroom. The water resistance inspires confidence in a steamy bathroom or by the hot tub. Bass is dominant ( sometimes a bit much) for an audiophile. But depends what the speaker is sitting on. The issue I have is some tunes cause a minor fuzz during bass drop. Rarely annoying, only happens on some bass lines, majority of time is fine. Also , inbuilt electronics limit distortion. So If turned right up ( to fill a bigger room with background noise) it limits the frequency amplitude of what it feels will cause distortion. Great in principle, but really messes with sound quality. I'm my opinion, I'll keep it, because to attain better I'll have to spend double...and the alternatives are not twice as good.

Excellent sound and good quality!!
From unboxing, I realized that the product has good quality and after using it for a while I must say that I am very happy with my choice: it looks beautiful, it sounds excellent, it connects easily by Bluetooth (it has BTH 4.2, which is a huge advantage) and the battery lasts long. Before buying, I did a deep research, compared specifications of many brands and models, and read many reviews. Finally, I understood that there will always be limitations on a portable speaker because the size of the speakers is fundamental to deliver more power and deeper bass, so you must be realistic about your expectations. Clearly, this product has acoustic engineering applied on it, and I really can't imagine a portable speaker of this size with better sound or power, it seems technically impossible. This one has a great surround-like sound and impressive power, capable to fill the biggest room of any house!! One little advice: before buying a high-quality portable speaker, ask yourself what's the quality of the music that you intend to play on it, because if the music comes from radio FM or from poor quality MP3 songs, or from good quality recorded tracks played on a bad quality mobile phone or another device with bad sound processor (or old Bluetooth tech), then you should consider either buying a cheaper portable speaker or upgrading your music device to a more expensive one. ;-)

So much sound from such a little box, but perhaps, a little too much bass?
I have been buying Anker products through Amazon for the last couple of years when I first tried one of their charging cables for an iPhone. Everything I have bought from Anker has been first rate, quick delivery, great packaging, excellent quality and super reliability. So with such a great experience of the manufacturer, when I decided to buy a portable Bluetooth speaker and saw that Anker made them, I was quick to read the reviews. Based on those reviews I bought a SoundCore Pro + 25W speaker. It arrived the day after I ordered it, the packaging looked great and it connected via Bluetooth to my phone without any problems, it was easy. I have tried it using the 3.5mm jack too and that was easy too. The sound volume is more than enough for most people wanting background music in a kitchen or bedroom. I bought this to take camping and I bet it will be more than loud enough for camping or picnics. The sound quality is amazing to me, coming from a set of powered Sony speakers that are 25 years old, this little Anker is amazing. However, I have one little quibble. If it were up to me, I would like to adjust the bass. For speech it tends to be a little heavy on the bass and sounds like it has a loudness switch on (remember those?) but it doesn't. If you place it with its back close to a wall it accentuates the bass output, so by giving it more free air behind the speaker I was able to back it off a bit, but Anker, if you read this, can the mkII version have some way we can back off the bass a little please? Would I recommend it? Definitely. At the price, I doubt it can be beaten!

Awful. Good if you want to use a single device to listen to chart music, though...
UPDATE: After posting this review, Anker got in touch and offered to send me an "upgraded speaker" for free. I received a Soundcore Flare+, which is much better than this thing in every single way! Thanks, Anker! It really is a huge upgrade - it has a button to adjust the bass, and the firmware can be updated. The range is also a lot better. I bought this speaker to replace my dearly departed old Bose speaker, after it finally died. I've used loads of Anker stuff in the past, and I've never been less than happy. Everything they make is brilliant. This, though, is ****. The bass is FAR too loud. It's obviously tuned for listening to chart music by the poolside. But if you try to fill a room with anything else - even something simple like a podcast - it sound awful. The bass drowns out almost everything else, even when it's placed on a cushion to try and dampen it a bit. The windows in my room rattle even during a podcast. It's also rubbish at keeping a decent bluetooth connection. The range is about half of my old Bose Soundlink Mini, and while it will connect to two devices, it will only play the audio from one, while silencing the other. And if the one device playing is my old MacBook, it will only play a single app at a time - sometimes requiring an on/off/unpair/pair routine to make it play sound from VLC after it has decided it only wants to play sound from Safari. All this could potentially be fixed with a firmware update, but Anker didn't seem to even bother to build in the capability for the firmware to be upgraded.

Amazing speaker for its size and very well built.
So this is the first time i've purchased a speaker from Anker, and i know there products are very well built, so i wasnt expecting anything less. The Good: Speaker is very well built, feels solid, controls are simple, connection is stable and ports are easy to access for charging the speaker etc . Sound coming from the speaker is very good no matter what type of music you are playing to it and bass is also solid. Its a good thing it has a metal grille and so durable as at louder volumes as the bass can get very extreme! The bad: The only issue I’ve encounterd somtimes is when playing music from iTunes on my iPad is that if I change album , the next track will not automatically be picked up by the speaker , and hence no sound will come from it unless I reset the bluetooth connection from the device im playing from. Also, as the speaker has a wraparound metal grille, it easily picks up dust etc in the tiny holes and might need a find soft brush to clean it now & again.

Faulty
I love this speaker but I think there’s a problem with it:( the sound is great but every so often the speaker cracks and cuts out when music is playing, maybe there’s a dodgy wire inside? It’s so annoying because I need this speaker for a party in a couple of days but it’s no good if the music will keep cutting out and cracking up:(

Dommage.

Well made and designed.
Terrific company Service. First off, I really like this speaker. It has amazing sound and connects to Bluetooth effortlessly. I purchased this speaker January 2019 and it was working and charging fine. The last time I went to charge it would not charge. I contacted Anker service, explained the problem and within a few days I received a replacement speaker. I cannot say enough good things about the customer service this company offers. They contact you in a timely manner and come across as very concerned about your satisfaction with their products. In this era of buyer beware it is refreshing and encouraging to have a company that truly cares. Ron Hoyer
