I read a book about growing gourds from seeds, and I snipped off the “ears” with a nail clipper, and soaked them overnight. I then planted them with seed starter mix in a tray with small compartments but then when I tried to remove them, some seedlings broke. So, I planted a few more seeds in peat pots, which I can plant directly in the ground once they grow 4 leaves. The seedlings grew so long that they were flopping over so I bought aluminum wire on Amazon and made stands that looked like lollipops so the circle at the top could hold them up. I also bought a grow light, not really necessary, though out of all the different kinds of seeds I planted, the gourd seeds are doing the best. Keep in mind that there will always be a few that don’t germinate but that’s life…and one thriving plant will take up a lot of room and proliferate.

2nd batch of seeds the ones I planted are sprouting. 1st review Did not germinate the entire package of seeds, I am getting a replacement packet so if they sprout I will update my review.

Great seeds! Nearly all of them germinated pretty fast now of I could just get them to stay alive, lol!

Only a few seeds grew. Very disappointed but was a crazy summer for the garden so will try again next year

If your seeds don’t germinate your not alone. I purchased 2 packets of these totaling (40) seeds, not a single germination. I also bought (20) seeds on Etsy, they cost more but every seed sprouted.

Seeds sprouted well - need to get the harvest but so far so good

They came up good but the cold spell killed most of them, I'll let you know this fall how the survivors did
