Good product and recommend I you like epilator. Easy to use and love all the attachments

I bought this epilator to replace my old Braun Silk-épil 5 Power 5780 purchased about 10 years ago. It was basically the same epilator but with additional accessories. I was hoping that in 10 years the silk epil 5 would have improved in terms of noise or pain level. It hasn't really but this is not an issue for me. The noise level is standard and the epilator is not really painful. I've been using an epilator for 25 years so I'm not so sensitive anymore. The additional caps that I got with my original silk epil do fit the epilator head of this silk epil 5 model, which is great as this model has very limited accessories. I don't think I'll have any use for the bikini shaver at I use the epilator head and the shaver head for my bikini line. People have commented on the plug. From my experience epilators come with a shaver plug which you can't connect to a normal socket in any country. You can only plug it in the special bathroom sockets... Or use a shaver adaptor. So nothing weird with this epilator. I've always used an adaptor. The length of the cord is definitely shorter than it used to be. My old cord was 227cm long whereas the new cord is only 124cm long. 1m difference is a big change, but I've personally always used an extension lead so the shorter cord is not an issue for me. I considered going for a wireless epilator this time but though that a corded one would be more powerful, more reliable as you don't need to remember to charge it or worry that it will die before you're finished. Also I was concerned that I may need to change the epilator earlier due to the battery alone. Overall I'm happy with this purchase. The epilator does pick up extremely short hairs as well as longer ones. It's very efficient so that you don't need to go over the same area twice. I did a full leg (including thigh) in 7min (I'm 1m62), which I consider to be a quick time.

Been using this for about a month now after upgrading from an older Philips epilator and the difference is genuinely insane. My skin has been so smooth and the thing is SO quiet compared to what I was used to - I actually didn't realise how loud my old one was until I switched. A few honest things though. First, pay attention when you're using it because I've caught myself zoning out mid-session and ended up with the occasional small nick - totally user error but worth mentioning. Second, and I say this with love - if you're thinking about using it on your pubic area, just know it is technically possible but it is an experience. Less painful than other areas but still not for the faint hearted, approach with caution. Overall though this thing is brilliant. Skin feels genuinely soft for weeks and its become a staple in my routine. Would 100% recommend, especially if your upgrading from an older model because you will notice the difference straight away.

Good product, does what it says, isn't quite as good as my last Braun silk-epil but it is half the price of my last depilatory. Some people reviews complain about pain when using the depilatory, but some discomfort should be expected when pulling hair out by the roots, the about of time felt gets less over time, as the hair gets weaker and I have found the I have less hair growth now after using an depilatory for the last 10 years, I epilate my legs, under arms and face. It's an inexpensive way and a great way to remove unwanted hair without chemicals or risk of cuts.

Absolute waste of money. I used it some 15 times and the battery is gone. A "full charge" is enough to do one armpit! And because is doesn't work with the cord connected, it is totally useless at this point.

Yes very scary at first but the the first time you use it is the most painful but the second time is so much better and make sure you trim you leg hair to a length of a grain of rice it you use it on long hair it so hair for the device to pull hair it just snapped hair and hurts more and take you time don't rush it too me 3 hours honestly there no rush and dont worry about pain it does hurt the first time but its so worth it and make sure you use a light moisture or aloe after and a cold shower only no heat for 24 hours or you will end up with strawberry legs don't put tan on gor 24 to 48 hours after and you have to keep up with the epilating for 2 weeks after and keep doing it for 1 or 2 a week to keep the hair away it takes time and dont keep the device in one spot as it breaks the skin and dont be ashamed to shave the spots you miss if it hurst to much because the second you do it you can get the bits you miss also shave a spot of hair first then work from there honestly thank me later x message for any more advice im happy to help 😊 x

Great hair removal epilator. Comes with multiple heads allowing you to adjust your technique, it is waterproof and holds its charge well. It does not snag or pinch the skin which is a must and it looks great. I’d highly recommend

Funktioniert seit 1 1/2 Jahren ohne Probleme. Viel besser als rasieren.

Der Braun Silk epil 5 macht einen soliden und gut verarbeiteten Eindruck. Die MicroGrip Pinzetten erfassen auch kurze Haare ab etwa 0,5 mm, was im Alltag ein Vorteil gegenüber Wachs ist, weil man nicht so lange auf nachgewachsene Haare warten muss. Der Griff liegt sicher in der Hand und das Gerät wirkt wie ein typischer Braun Rasurartikel robust. Die Epilation ist gründlich, besonders an Beinen und weniger empfindlichen Bereichen. Unter warmem Wasser ist die Anwendung angenehmer, und der Massageaufsatz hilft etwas gegen das Ziepen. Gut gefällt auch das Zubehör, denn mit Rasieraufsatz, Trimmeraufsatz und Peelingbürste ist das Set vielseitiger als ein reiner Epilierer.

Todos los accesorios son muy prácticos, pero lo más relevante y novedoso es la autonomía de 40 minutos sin cables, muy cómodo. La calidad es la de siempre de los productos Braum

Le chargeur ne rentre pas dans la prise de courant française. J’avais un ancien modèle, ce qui me permet de l’utiliser, je suis très déçue.
