A most excellent water pump
We're absolutely thrilled with our pump! It performs flawlessly. I would buy this pump again. There's really not a lot to it. It's simple and effective and it does the job and it even has an extension on the top. If you want the fountain to spray but we built something that was too small for that. Still we are very satisfied with the durability of the pump. How it cleanses the fountain and the price point. There was hardly anything to installing it and it's simply fabulous!

Strong pump, sizable easy to clean filter.
This is a great pump/filter. I have a small goldfish pond and by keeping the pump on thru the winter I was able to keep it from totally freezing. As a result my goldfish survived the freezing temperatures, snow and ice in NE PA. It does a good job keeping the water clear and the large filter is easy to remove and clean.

Does a good job
The filter box with the pump inside is too light weight. It tips over to easy. Other than that it is nice and doing a good job in the pond.

Very Powerful
We have a tiny pond, and while the filter is amazing and works really well, it almost works too well! It's been pushing our water outside of the pond. We keep waking up to our pond being nearly empty because of that. We took the fountain off and let it just bubble around, which is working out great for us. Filter works really well for keeping it clean. We've had it only 2 months.

Pump fails due to water seepage/electrical short.
The pump failed within the one year warranty period, it started to trigger the GFCI circuit. The seller finally responded to my warranty query, it took a week between responses. They had me check to see if my GFCI was working correctly, to try another GFCI circuit, if the wire was damaged, etc... After several messages back and forth to check the pump their final response was, "The engineer said that in this situation, the only option is to replace the water pump." It appears the pump failed due to the internal water seal breaking down. The way this pump failed could have created a dangerous situation that was only averted by the GFCI circuit. When searching through the Amazon reviews I found a number of other pump failures of the same type. They have not offered a warranty replacement.

Nice for my ponds
I have two fish ponds - one is 4x8x2 and other is 4x4x2. The pumps were constantly getting clogged. Easy enough to clean in less than 15 minutes, but a pain in less than a week. So I put one of these on a catch basin two weeks ago and it is still pumping. Last week I put the other one on a catch basin and itโs still pumping. I like the power and the flexibility to adjust the flow.

Due to the cheap parts, they do not last very long.
The system set up easily enough and it performed well. Our small pond cleared up in just a couple weeks or less. I was pleased. However, after the first cleaning of the filters and filter box, the standpipe did not want to stay on and keeps blowing off. I noticed that it cracked and I tried to repair it, to no avail. Additionally, the pump seems to get easily air bound after cleaning and does not start pumping for a while. The system is completely submerged and so it makes no sense to me, acting air bound when I know there should be no air in the pump. Additionally, press fit parts should never be used on a pressurized system. They don't hold up.

Too strong
It is very hard to connect 2 separate water outlets, other than the ones with the filter. All the wrong fittings. The water is also too strong.
