the good, the bad, the UGLY
I bought the 60 pack starter bottle to kick start a new phase of diet and exercise. I've done the diet and exercise thing many times before, the weight always comes back. I've tried diet pills before, they never work at all. I figured I'd give this stuff a go based on some positive reviews. Reader BEWARE - THIS. STUFF. WORKS. The good - This stuff WORKS. You cannot deny it. During the 22 days it took me to go through the first bottle, I lost 7 pounds. Now, as I said, I'm no stranger to diet and exercise. When I started taking the pills, I listened to the instructions. I worked out everyday during these 22 days, I followed a low fat and low calorie diet. I even did a juice cleanse for 2 days (during which I did not take the pills). I took my multivitamin every night. I probably would have lost 4 or 5 pounds without these pills during this time, but these pills definitely helped add a little extra something. You can literally SEE this stuff working (more on that below). At no point while taking this stuff did I have to run to the bathroom like some crazy emergency where I almost didn't make it. I had regular bowel movements, they were just.... offputting. The bad - this stuff works. You can literally see it. It will disgust you at first, there is no doubt about that. You will see blobs of fat/oil in the toilet. You will really want to avoid eating super fatty/oily foods while you are taking this stuff. The UGLY - this stuff REALLY works. Like, if you are in a relationship, or still have to go to work in person, you may want to think twice. Like I said above, I didn't have to run to the bathroom at any point while taking this stuff, but it leaves a nasty ring of oil in your toilet. You will likely go through a lot of toilet cleaner while on this product. If you are at work, or in a relationship, it's going to be hard to hide it. I basically have to clean my toilet every time I go to the bathroom. If you are out in public or at work, it's going to be even harder, since you won't have access to a toilet brush. the UGLY UGLY - at one point while on this product, I decided to help myself to some pepperoni pizza (it was cauliflower crust, tiny personal pizza, I figured what's the harm, the whole thing was 650 calories), after eating this pizza I had the urge to let out a little toot, so I did. Well...that little toot led to an oil stain in my underwear. Thank the man in the sky I was home and able to go change into some fresh undies. You've been warned. It WORKS.

It does work!
Im very happy with this product & it does work if u eat healthier, exercise & take it as directed. Yes, it does cause oily pooh, some gas & discomfort but ONLY if you eat foods you are not supposed to eat! It will make you pooh more & your pooh may be oily & yellow but its no big deal. I immediately felt less bloated & Im losing weight after a few weeks of starting it.

PLEASE READ
For those looking to buy, let me WARN you. I saw the positive reviews and ignored the negative ones thinking that it was just a few bad apples. I was wrong. WARNING: The price tag is hefty on these pills, and also know that if you realize what happens on the first few days and you can't handle it, there is NO REFUND with medication on amazon. MY EXPERIENCE: Everyone will have a different experience when it comes to this medication, but most people that I have read have a common theme. What comes out the other end. Yes it smells, yes it hurts, for me it hurt like the worst blowout of my life times three. I was in gut wrenching pain. On my first day I took my first pill, as prescribed. I felt a little strange, but nothing to worry about, when I hit my second pill that's when the trouble started. I developed a migraine that set on fast. After the migraine I lost control of my bowels, my gut felt like it was stabbed and my vision blurred. My skin became pale and clamy and I could barely walk. I walked hunched over and eventually passed out. If I was conscious or had someone with me, I would have gone to the hospital. (TWO PILLS) that is all it took for me to be brought to a devastating point. I found out a couple days later from a family member that my cousin took the same pills months ago and she had to go to a hospital herself. So please be warned. FINAL: Please know that medical pills are not a weight loss guarantee, I learned the hard way there are significant side effects and the price tag of this does not help. I have no idea how they got 'FDA approval' as advertised, but I am shocked that it is pushed. Please, find a friend or family member and have them be a support partner who can help push you and drive you to go out and work out. Please do not be like me and use these in addition to exercise. I have been wanting to write this review since I took the medication to SAVE someone from the experience I went through. Please PLEASE do not buy these pills.

Works, but the side effects are hard to ignore
I’ve been using the alli starter pack for about three weeks now, and I have mixed feelings. On the positive side, it does seem to help with weight loss when combined with a low-fat diet. I’ve lost a few pounds without feeling jittery or suppressed appetite, which I appreciate. However, the side effects are real. The treatment effects (oily spotting, loose stools, and urgency) happen more often than I expected, even when I try to keep fat intake moderate. It’s also easy to forget taking a capsule with every main meal, and the 60-count pack didn’t last as long as I hoped. Overall, it works as advertised, but you really have to commit to a low-fat diet and be prepared for some unpleasant bathroom moments. For the price, it’s okay – but definitely not for everyone.

Works, but you need to make it work for you, not against you
This starter pack is great if you're not sure you want to try this pill, also known as Orlistat, as a dietary supplement, however, the only difference between it and the regular pack is that it has half the pills and comes with a little pill container, and you can get pill containers anywhere. (They're free gifts at Tupperware parties.) The regular pack is a better deal, though, if you already know you're going to go all in and try this. Here's the other thing to keep in mind. After you read in the instructions (and yes, you really do need to read the instructions and then do your due diligence and follow up by research on WebMD or other similar sites), put the instructions to the side and figure out what you can live with when it comes to taking these pills. They will change your gastrointestinal routine and you need to be aware of that. First of all, as they say in the instruction booklet, it is better to make sure you are already on a low-fat diet. That being said, you make your own choices on what you want to eat, so just remember that if you don't have a low-fat diet, or happen to have a high-fat meal, there will be consequences. You may spend some time after in the bathroom. Second, the instructions advise to take the pill before every meal and this will help you get the most out of it. However, you don't have to take it at every meal. The starter pack (60 pills) is only going to last 20 days if you take it at every meal. The regular pack (120 pills) is only going to last 40 days if you take it at every meal. And these pills are not cheap. They are less expensive than they used to be, but they are still not cheap. Also, do you want to poop that much? I have found that I still benefit when I only take the pill for one or two meals a day. Third, as per the instructions, look into how this pill interacts with your other medications and make sure you arrange your pill taking schedule accordingly, including any vitamins. This pill blocks absorption of some fat, so it makes sense it may block absorption of some vitamins, supplements and other medications. So be smart and check it out with your other medications. Fourth, and finally, make practical adjustments. Drink enough water for one. And invest in some ultra thin long pads for your underwear for another. You may never need them, but it's better for the oily gunk to hit the pad, which you can dispose of and change, than to have it hit your underwear, and then you wonder if you need to go home and change your clothes. Because, there will be orange, oily gunk. And it won't always be possible for you to run to the bathroom. So, man/woman-up and get some good pads to wear in your underwear. In the end, these pills will work for you, but you have to make sure that you know what you're getting into going in, and make adjustments accordingly.

Mentally prepare yourself for the self esteem war you will have with your butt.
The pills are very tiny, super easy to swallow and hasn't caused any physical side effects at all after taking it for a few weeks. The only thing to remember is it's suggested to take it with every meal so you have to build a routine if you aren't used to taking that many pills a day. So this stuff works, but just be prepared for the outcome of your decisions. Yes, it does stop grease/oil from being absorbed, but that means that stuff has to come out of somewhere. I suggest having a healthy and smiling understanding that your butt is just trying to help and just spend the first week acclimating to what might come out of there. Ever cook ground beef for a dish and it's at that point where you need to start spooning out some of the top layer of oil/fat?...yeah that's gonna be coming out of you depending on what you eat. Since it's grease and oil, wiping reminds me of that scene with Chris Pratt talking about wiping and wiping. The positive note though is the stuff actually works, and there doesn't seem to be any major side effects at least on me after taking it for a little. Concerning the title, we all react differently to by products of our body. I was suggested this by my doctor because I was dealing with constipation caused by taking a popular weight loss drug. The paradigm shift required by the drug along with the added impact of being a reverse Jed Clampett and shooting oil out of me was a lot easier to deal with when realizing the awkwardness of the situation meant things were working. I hope this works for you as well as it worked for me.

Weight loss pills
Alli (orlistat 60 mg) is the first FDA-approved over-the-counter weight loss aid, generally well-regarded in user reviews for promoting modest, gradual weight loss (about 50% more than diet/exercise alone) by blocking 25% of fat absorption. Users often report success (e.g., 3-5 lbs in two weeks) when adhering to a low-fat diet, though they warn of severe side effects if fat intake exceeds 15g per meal.

It works - just be conscious of what you eat!
Started Alli about 2 weeks ago. I was hesitant to try it after reading some of the horror stories however I spent some time researching it and gave it a shot. I am currently down 5lbs and have never felt better. What you should know: • This is not a magic pill - you Must follow the guidelines for fat intake. It seems difficult at first but once you know what your body can handle you don’t have to worry too much. I stick to 15g of fat or less per meal and have had ZERO stomach issues. Many people hope to take diet pills and eat what they want but this still involves some work on your part. Although I have to be conscious of what I eat I am still able to consume my favorite foods with the right adjustments. I no longer eat a full pan of pizza rolls but instead I portion out a few and have a salad on the side. Alli has recipes on their website which are great and super helpful as well. • exercise is very important. I aim for 3 days a week for 30 minutes at a time. I typically do 10-15 minutes on the elliptical at a tough resistance and 15-20 minutes of strength training. Building muscle regardless of weight will burn more calories even when you’re not working out. More muscle = more fat loss. Cardio is best in intervals and intensity so it’s good to incorporate it but don’t rely on it entirely! • take a multi vitamin at bed time! I purchased some chewable vitamins that have b12 in them which is also good for the metabolism. Alli can cause issues with vitamin absorption so taking a multivitamin at night will give you a chance to get an extra kick of vitamins you might need! • start slow - if you’re not sure how your body will react to it then try one pill with a meal on your day off and see how you feel. If you can tolerate it try another one by dinner time. If you find there are little to no side effects by the next day then go for the full 3 (a pill per meal). • don’t cut out all the fat from your diet. Alli works by rejecting 25% of the fat you consume (which happens to also be where most of the calories come from). If you cut out all the fat there is no point in really taking the pill. You want it to be a balance - not too much and not too little. Be conscious and just be aware of what you eat. I have been struggling to take off more than a couple lbs and am now consistently losing the weight. I am super grateful I decided to try this pill and if you’re looking for a safe addition to your diet I definitely recommend trying this.
