Hongdian D1 Piston Fountain Pen Fine Soft Nib, Jet Black Hollow Skeleton & Resin Pen with Metal Case Set

Love this fountain pen! Looks very ornate, good weight for me (heavy) and posts well! The ink reservoir is a good amount for me (about ½ of a TWSBI eco) and the nib is a great medium that lays down ink smoothly! Easy to clean but I’ve not yet tried a shimmer ink with it. Definately recommend if you like the above in a fountain pen :)

I have a collection of over 30 fountain pens, ranging from affordable to expensive, and this fountain pen has quickly become my favourite. It is beautiful, with a slightly gothic feel, has just the right weight for effortless writing without feeling cheap, and it writes perfectly. I have the EF nib, and for my style of writing it is perfection. The ink flows very well, the writing is super smooth, and the built-in converter ink filling mechanism works great. I really love this pen!

I really enjoy writing with this pen with only two minor drawbacks: The fine nib is more like a medium to me & my clip "wobbles" a bit. I think it would take many years of heavy usage before it would fall off and I have so many fountain pens I don't see that being a problem, but in case yours comes with this slight glitch I thought I should warn you. Also, I don't think it would be obvious with the pattern the pen has if the clip did fall off. Well worth the money.

I bought this pen as a gift for my brother I filled it with ink before sending it to him and couldn't resist the urge to give it a quick try I really liked it it's very well balanced easy to hold and writes beautifully so now I want one for myself as an everyday pen at the price it was you can't go wrong.

A nice if heavy pen, the nib is soft, but not quite as fine as expected. Very good value and looks more expensive than it is. Overall really nice to write with.

Well this was a lot better than I expected it to be. Writes beautifully, decent weight, easy ink filling system and looks unlike any other pen in my collection. It is currently my everyday pen.

Je trouve l'écriture encore beaucoup trop fine, j'aurais aimé que se soit plus epais et le relief me dérange un peut au niveau de la prise en main

Lo dicho en el título bonita, buena dé pistón, aunque mucha gente se queja a mi me va perfecta Escribiendo es suave no rasca... Se desliza bien así como el flujo de tinta al plumín es el adecuado. Lamento oír que otras personas han tenido mala experiencia. De momento ya la he cargado 2 veces y perfecta. Lo que tengo que preguntar porque no trae instrucciones para que es la pequeña llave que viene con la pluma. Supongo que para desmontar para limpiar, pero como?

Omg I love this pen!!! Do know this is not a regular cheap fountain pen this baby is legit!! It's got that old school style fill threw the tip with a new school twist. I'll just Wright just to fel the sensation this premium pen offers. It's got a LOT going for it so do your self favor and learn up on thi style of fountain pen. This pen got great heft which plays into its premium feel and wrighting flow. Tip is on point an writes better than any cheap knock off.
