This drain catcher is EXCELLENT. I love the design. The water can flow easily on the side of the drain catcher, but the hair usually does not go through. The problem I have with some other drain catchers is that the water pools up a lot and cannot drain. This is not the case for this item. The size was perfect for my drain, but just be sure to measure your own drain. It was easy to use since you just plop it down on the drain. It will cover and catch the hair, which you just have to remove yourself after your shower. No more plugged up, gross drains! This was a great use of money in the long run since I won't have to unclog the drain. I can't believe I am this excited about a drain cover.

If you have a floor drain in your shower you should try this cover! I was skeptical that it would really help with the hair in the shower but boy was I wrong. It helps with human hair but we wash our dog in this shower and that is where I notice it the most. It catches nearly all of the hair shed by our chocolate lab when she is getting her bath and its easy to pickup and remove instead of it going down the drain. Its weighted so it stays in place nicely but its not bulky where you step on it or even notice its there. I highly recommend!

I have long hair and I shed like crazy (I'm really surprised I have any hair left on my head) so a shower drain cover is a must. And this is perfect because it stays in place and catches all of my hair. And it does slow down the draining of the water a tad but it's not an issue. And I usually stand it up after I shower because you don't want it getting all slimy on the bottom.

Perfect for catching hair. Our default would have the hair tangled in there and it was always gross to clean. This one keeps it above the cover so it’s very quick to clean periodically. Can’t believe I waited this long to buy. Very cheap but good quality too. Only thing is that it shifts easily as my drain is located in the middle of the shower so it’s easy to knock it.

I’ve purchased numerous drain hair catchers but this one is a keeper! It doesn’t float or slip around (it is weighted perfectly) and catches ALL the hair.

Best solution I've found so far with a little alteration. This is the 4" version (bit larger see measurements). Ihave long very fine hair. Was using the (gross) in-drain thing (you can find on Amazon) . I caulked it in. It did not show cause I was able to cover with the Brass cover plate. But that thing got clogged very quickly (I have 3 plastic filters that I let dry then clean out with a pick and small brush). That was getting old! I am proud of the idea cause it allowed me not to have an ugly thing. Now I will use this on top and I hope to not have to clean the lower one as often. I cut off the edges so that it fit right into mine with tension and I doubt it will come loose. Be careful cutting. Do just a bit at a time (next time I'll be a bit less hasty. These silicone things can get nasty so I'll buy a backup so I can throw one in the dishwasher. The Ss plate is heavy duty.

The Aluvor Drain Hair Catcher does catch the prodigious amounts of hair left in the shower each time I wash my hair; however, it does not stay in place, rather, it constantly moves its position. Rather annoying and disappointing although I do like the square shape and it covers the drain perfectly.

Don't bother buying it doesn't suction down properly.
