I have a rosy skin condition that's very reactive (I get itchy, red bumps from all sorts of products), so I can always use extra help combating redness. This has 3 fragrance ingredients: parfum, benzyl salicylate, and citronellol. When "parfum" is listed as an ingredient, I have no idea what the components are and if there is something I need to avoid. Benzyl salicylate, while having a nice floral scent, is one of the fragrance components that must specifically be listed in the EU since it's known to be more allergenic than some (the EU 26). Because of the fragrance ingredients, I've been using this on my body only where I am much less likely to have a visible reaction. It has a light, floral scent, and it's not super strong so I can tolerate it on my body. The gel itself feels cooling. It absorbs fairly quickly but does leave a faint residue, which some might not like on their face, but also seems mitigated by following with a moisturizer. Over time, the shiitake mushroom extract should help brighten skin, and Centella asiatica is one of my reactive skin's favorite ingredients. This really has a lot going for it, but I wish products that are targeted to red, sensitive, irritated skin like this left out the most common irritants like fragrance. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this SOS Red Gel, but it has proven to be an excellent nighttime routine for my dry, often irritated and red skin. Unlike heavier creams, this gel has a nice light consistency and a soft, unoffensive rose-like scent. The gel dries quickly and little is needed to effectively hydrate skin. I wake up to better toned skin with no dry patches, and it complements my morning routine of serum, oil moisturizer and cream make-up. The ingredient list is impressive too—it’s a very soothing formula. This would probably work well on all skin types that need a little help, but I find it especially useful on dry, problematic skin like mine.

For reasons I'll never understand, my facial skin can be red and blotchy. I swear, I do all the right things- gently cleanse, moisturize, and SPF every day, but somehow, it can still be splotchy and red, particularly after a hot shower. This Premium SOS Red Gel is meant for irritated and tired skin, and is suggested to be used on sunburned skin too. thankfully, I haven't experienced a sunburn recently, but if I did, I'm not sure I'd reach for this, as there is added "perfume" in it. I have tested this gel out on many days after a shower (when my skin is at its reddest), as well as at night before bed. I find it somewhat tacky feeling, so I don't love it at night, particularly as I have to wear a CPAP mask at night. I honestly did not notice my redness abating any faster than usual. The gel does feel slightly cooling, as most gels do, but it didn't immediately or even quickly improve the redness in my face. Hopefully this works for a lot of people, but I wouldn't order this again, especially since it is not inexpensive. Korean skin care is usually a great fit for me, but this one is a miss. You'd think a skin care line meant for irritated skin would know better than to add perfume, but apparently not.

MY ⭐️RATINGS: 4⭐️- I would recommend it as the one to get. This is great at calming my skin when it is irritated. I have sensitive skin, and the slightest thing can cause it to flare up. Recently, I was outside doing yard work and got overheated; my face was extremely red and sweaty. Once I came inside, showered, and cooled off, my skin was still red and irritated. I used this gel to bring my skin back to normal and calm. It’s not a gel I use daily, but only until my skin is calm and I can return to my usual regimen. I also use tHermoCEUTICAL DeAC Aciderm Toner - Refreshing Cooling Toner to help keep my skin balanced. HOW I USE: 1 - Cleanse my face, 2 - Apply my usual serums 3 - I apply a nickel-sized amount to my face and then after a couple of minutes I pat for absorption and follow with cream. tHermoCEUTICAL Premium SOS RED GEL goes well with the other skincare products in my regimen. EXPIRATION DATE: 01/31/2027 I always check for an expiration date before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products. This Face Gel is as advertised, and works well. The PRICE is in the usual range.

I was not impressed with this moisturizing gel. I did not see any noticeable improvement in my skin. I have extremely sensitive skin that often looks red to the point that people think that I have a mild sunburn. Although this product did not seem to further irritate my skin, it also did not make it any less red. I didn’t note any significant improvement in how my skin felt either. The gel felt slightly sticky on my skin and did not feel like it was absorbing well at all. I also was not a fan of the smell. It wasn’t an overly strong or gross odor, but it smelled like preservative ingredients.

This is a gel moisturizer that is clear and the consistency of an aloe vera gel. It does quite well to alleviate redness immediately - not working miracles but a noticeable improvement nonetheless. There is even more improvement over time. It does leave my skin a bit tacky feeling, and has a fragrance to it that's kind of botanical and medicinal smelling - it isn't bad by any means, but some people sre more sensitive ti fragrances and added perfumes in products. On another note, mine arrived open with quite a bit of product missing. The tube was also scratched up which had me worried about tampering, but upon further inspection there was half of a safety seal on the tube and inside the box had metallic flakes, so I suspect it was a glitch in manufacturing combined with a rough trip to my house.

This gel formula is supposed to be formulated for red irritated skin. I’ve experiencing some facial irritation due to recently adding a retinol to my skincare routine. I thought this would be the perfect remedy to help soothe my skin. I applied the gel, but did not find it overly hydrating. It calmed down some areas of redness that I had, but I did not notice any real moisturizing properties. The gel absorbed okay, but it left a sticky texture once it had completely dried down. I did not experience any additional irritation from using this, which is a good thing. I might use this on other areas of my body if irritated, but it doesn’t work well as a facial product in my opinion. I feel like there are better options available that perform more adequately than this product.
