You will not be disappointed with the BB735A!
Excellent Excellent Excellent! Can't say enough good about this bass and service! Sounds amazingly better than my TRBX305 even though I love that smooth sounding bass too! Glad I switched and got a great well-made soft case with it for free! This bass is not only well made, high quality product, but sounds so rich and bright even in passive mode. Deep powerful lows and very versatile in sound shaping with the three way EQ. Smooth and very comfortable neck, no sharp frets. Just a little heavier than my 305, but no complaints on that. My last bass for sure, not looking anywhere else after this. Thank you Sweetwater for the great service and candy! Update on the case: It's a bit short, causing the tuner knob (D) to push against the inside of the zipper. Extra care to be taken when zipping shut. But the plush velvet inside is a great feature!

Love this bass!!
Loved this bass so much, I bought the 4 string version as well. I now own 6 Yamaha basses and each and every one of them is an excellent value. Construction, features, value for the money and materials are all excellent. The tone of this bass ranges from smooth and mellow to deep and growly. Buy one!

A little worried at first...
I played a used bb 734 at guitar center awhile back and had a hard time putting it down... couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks! went and played it again a few times... i sold one bass and took another with me in trade to guitar center to order a new BB 735 because if i was going to pull the trigger i wanted 5 strings. i got the GC exclusive 'indigo blue' color. when it came and i got it home it had several issues and i was seriously considering returning it! one half of the P pickup buzzed loudly when the pole pieces were touched (not the other half and not the J) plus the pickups were VERY loose and bounced up and down with the slightest touch, resulting in an audible CLACK through the amp... took it back to GC and discussed with the tech there, i decided to pay to get it set up and asked him to figure out the pickup issues. got it back, all problems sorted... he even grounded the pickups and shielded the cavity. NOW i'm happy to report this thing is a FANTASTIC instrument! I own several basses, a few of them more exotic/high end and I'd put this very near the quality of my Lakland 55 94 deluxe! it's that good. such a wide variety of sounds, and the passive tone is so great i usually leave it in that mode. I've heard a few complaints about the B string being 'floppy', i don't think it's bad at all, the tech set it up nicely the B feels quite good to me. it is SLIGHTLY less firm than my Lakland 35 scale, but there is a 'sweet spot' to pluck the string where it has more tension, between the pickups. when i play i tend to have my fingers a little closer to the neck, and when i go to the B i move over just a bit, but seriously it's not a big deal, a very minor complaint about a really terrific bass!

Amazing bass!
Amazing bass!! The lows on this bass is crazy good and whatโs even better about this bass is the clarity it delivers with the lows. This bass fits any occasion!
