This fabric shaver is just the perfect size for those pesky threads on clothes, such as on dresses and blouses. It makes them look like new again!

Pretty good value & function! I have the same feedback as others- here are some pris & cons: There are two extra blades (great!!!) but they are loose inside the box so be careful not to slice up your fingers reaching in. The battery cover comes off every time I turn it on which is a functional design flaw. The only way to prevent it is to use two hands to turn it on. I like size of this shaver & it fits nicely in the hand. Its a nice weight. It comes with a cover for the shaver head- great! Its easy to clean & the lint holder is clear so you can see how full its getting. Fast-forward to a few years later. This Hardy shaver has been great except for! The on off button on the side is almost nonfunctional. It’s extremely hard to get any traction or grip to turn it on or off today when I was turning it off I had to use a tool to move it to the off position and the button popped out now a perfectly good shaver is rendered nonfunctional. There’s no way to fix it. There’s just a little plastic tab in there that connects the switch to the mechanism that turns the motor on and off inside. It’s a shame! But I just have to order a new one because it works better than any of the other D. pillars, defaulters or fabric shavers I tried before I found this one.

Purchased in 2022, just now this year in 2026 it took it last course and purchased a different lint remover/shaver. Had to toss it out as it no longer could spin the blade properly nor would it pick anything up but I am surprised this lasted me almost 4 years ! Would definitely recommend!

I got this to help remove the pilling from the shirt pictured, as well as to remove horrible pilling and lint that appeared after washing felt pot/pan protectors. For the shirt, it worked just okay - the right side of my shirt, after using it, looks significantly better than the left but still not 100%. A few problems: It seems to have a very weak motor, and it takes several slow passes over the same area to remove the worst of it. As a result, I can really only see this being practical for very small items, for people who have a lot of spare time, or both. I'll probably finish the shirt now that I've started, but if the pilling reappears I don't see myself taking the trouble again. Also, as a side note, it seems to be even worse trying to work with the felt pot protectors. The motor really seems to be working overtime on those - it gets clogs that require taking off the protective cap to remove the lint built up around the blades, and just stopped completely at one point. I'll probably give the shirt a once over, and do as many of the pot protectors as I can, but I won't be surprised if the motor burns out while I'm doing those.

Of all the shavers I have had, this one has been the best. When it’s full of fiber, the efficacy decreases, so that’s my cue to clean it out. It took me awhile to learn how to do this, so I am posting photos and a video. In the first photo, note that the fibers can wrap around the axle and also wedge in the blades and impede function, so just get in there with a tweezers and pull it loose. To get access to the axle, unscrew the white and metal round face, and carefully (don’t cut yourself!) lift straight up on the blade wheel to expose it. That whole chamber can be filled with string, hair and other fiber. The clear chamber on the back also removes. I found that difficult to clean out — until I noticed the smaller clear plastic part that was wedged inside could also come out. Once that was out, I could use my finger to sweep out the inside. Once it’s all cleaned out, works like new. Also a change in batteries when it’s behaving sluggishly is the solution to that problem. If this one ever dies, I’d buy another one, but I doubt that will happen any time soon.

I used this on some sweatpants that I was on the verge of throwing away because of how bad the lint was. As you can see this remover did a pretty good job of getting it mostly clean. I think if I kept using it then the sweatpants would have gotten even more clean but it did take a while to do so I just got it to a point where they look perfectly fine from a distance. However I did use this lint remover on my sister's trousers and it worked much better and removed 100% of the lint in one go, so I'm thinking maybe my sweatpants were just beyond saving. Another thing is make sure you do this on a hard and flat surface because I tried it on a bed and it didn't work as well. It is also very easy to clean and satisfying to use. Anyway I'm glad I can wear those sweatpants in public again.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - STOPPED WORKING AFTER 2 MONTHS. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. - The result of removing lint balls is sub-par, to begin with. I must go over the same area multiple times to get the desired results. - Constantly replacing the batteries because it drains them so fast is ridiculous. -The blades dull very quickly; maybe they throw in 2 replacement razors because they don't last very long. - Stopped working two months after using it. It won't turn on. I replaced the batteries twice to see if that was the issue. I cleaned the entire device per the instructions after every single use. I meticulously cleaned the device when it stopped working, hoping that was the issue. Made sure the replacement razor was positioned correctly. I even watched videos on cleaning and replacing the razor blade, thinking it wasn't working due to user error. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy, much less to friends and family. I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated because I have to purchase another lint remover. Save your money and time purchasing this item, folks. I was not impressed after using it for the first time straight out of the box for three reasons: 1) I was disappointed in the functionality, as it did remove the more giant "Lint Balls," but it did a poor job of removing the smaller ones. Even to remove the more giant lint balls, I had to go over an area SEVERAL TIMES to remove them. I put in brand-new batteries to see if the lint remover would work better, and it did not. 2) The blade installed in the lint removal became dull very quickly. No wonder two replacement blades are included with the lint remover; they don't last any time. In summary, I was using too much of time with this lint roller to achieve the desired results and using up all my batteries. After a month and a half of using it - IT JUST COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. I tried everything. I cleaned every part of the lint remover via the instructions, changed the blade, and replaced the batteries. It would turn on, making an odd sound, and doesn't remove one piece when using it. - JUST STOPPED WORKING AFTER ONLY HAVING IT FOR TWO MONTHS. I diligently cleaned the device after every use. per the instructions. Out of the blue, it just stopped working - it doesn't function at all. It won't turn on.

This is the first one I have ever owned. It put the sweater on a flat surface and go back and forth then in a circular motion and that seems to take away the pills that form on the sweater. I put a black and white photo as it shows the difference from the side worked on. I was sad that as soon As I got it out of the package I fell on the floor and a piece of the plastic cover that collects the fabric broke. It still covers though. I am happy to have one.

Nothing is worse than having a favourite sweater or piece of clothing to have those little pills. Make it look old. This is a great D pillar I’m truly enjoying it and bringing back my favourite clothes to look like new.
