Bates- Weatherproof Electrical Outlet Cover, 1-Gang Outdoor Plug Cover

I purchased a couple of these Bates weatherproof outlet covers to install on the outside of my barn, and they’ve worked out very well so far. The covers seem to be good quality, feel sturdy, and do a nice job protecting the outlets from weather exposure. Installation was straightforward, and they give the outlets a clean, finished look once mounted. I originally chose them because they were competitively priced and had solid reviews, and I’m glad I did. Overall, I’m not disappointed at all and would buy them again for future outdoor electrical projects.

This cover has everything you need to install it. With several mounting options I think this is probably one of the best values in outdoor electrical covers. Well made and solid construction. Perfect fit for my needs and extra insurance for keeping things weather proof. There are many options but for price, value, and ease of installation I think this is the best.

Wanted to update my old cover. This one is easy to install and fits perfectly over my outdoor outlet. It feels sturdy and well made, and it blends in nicely without being bulky. Exactly what I was looking for to keep things protected outdoors!

I had two covers that needed replacing as they were weathered and one had plastic cracking. They were both over 10 years old. I picked up the Bates Choice as they checked all the boxes I needed and seemed very compatible on switching orientation. I was right. They were simple to replace and took about 2 minutes each. However, the reason for a 4 star... the foam backing for sealing should be a little thicker or provide an extra layer to add if needed. there are "configurations" provided to use for different outlets or even a switch so why not extra foam.

Easy to change out. Waterproof. Works great. Good price.

They feel well-made, and the gaskets sealed up nicely, which is what you want for outdoor use. Another bonus—they’re several dollars cheaper than what I found at the local big box store. I’ll definitely be purchasing more to finish out the project. Overall: Solid build, good seal, and great value for outdoor installs.

Bought two to replace old covers at my gazebo by the pond. Impressed by the inserts for different type receptacles. See pictures of inserts and old covers. Sturdy and easy to install. Good buy for me—reasonable price.

I can't say how this will last over time, but it appears good quality. I also bought the Leviton, which seemed better quality, but this has a much narrower base and I had location with little extra room around the outlet. My one knock on this product, and thus the one star off, is that the foam could be a little thicker. The Leviton had a slighter thicker foam and I think would seal off the base better.
