My instant response opening the package was "Looks good, not nearly strong enough." These hooks are much lighter than the standard bike hooks sold everywhere (which are really *too* heavy duty for most purposes). I didn't trust them nearly enough to hang them from the ceiling over a car, so installed one vertically on the wall first. It only took a few minute of adjusting the bike for the hook to deform to the point where the bike could easily fall off the wall. I happen to like the hooks and will use them for other purposes, but no way do these support 100lbs. Not a chance I'd trust one to safely hold a standard adult size bike or anything heavier.
