Worth It
Kit went together well. I didnโt use any of the hardware and upgraded all that. Guyker locking tuners and tremolo. Musiclily preloaded pick guard (sounds good but will probably replace now that guitar is worthy enough for the cost of better pickups. Used blue and black leather dye and cleared it with 2 cans of 2k clear gloss. Dying the mahogany blue was a bit of a chore but finally got it where I wanted it. Plays well and stays in tune just as good or better than a few way more expensive guitars. Frets were not polished at all but after polishing and adjusting the neck I was able to get it set up with a low action. The experience was worth the cost and I ended up with a solid guitar. The only thing was the neck radius is 12โ and I was hoping for a 9.5โ more like a Strat but it worked out ok for me because it is the same radius as my Les Paul so going between the two feels natural.

An incredible value! Great quality and great price!
I make guitars from scratch, often from wood that I milled from logs. I recently decided to give electric guitars a try, having only made acoustic ones in the past. I ordered this kit to learn more about how to carve out the body for placement of the electronics and to get a set of electronics. I noticed the great reviews and that nice hardwoods were used as opposed to other kits which use poplar, basswood and similar woods. When I opened it I was astounded! Beautiful, high dollar woods crafted to perfection. Every portion of the kit was first class. Sure, there are more expensive tuners, string sets, etc., but no components were less than good quality and a good number were top quality. It was easy to put together and sounds great. My only issues were having to make more space for the amp plug-in and two small missing hardware parts (one screw and one spring). I hear that customer support is great, so this kit exceeds all of my expectations. I quickly ordered two more of these kits because of the incredible value and I am really not sure what I am going to do with them.

Can't be beat for a DIY at this price point
Very smooth finish, ready to apply lacquer. The frets are beveled and don't need filing. The humbucker pickups are obviously cheapos, I will be replacing. Strings are low end, I will also install some nice Ernie Balls. The cutouts for the bridge, neck, etc. are all nicely done. Tuners are sufficient in quality for a cheaper DIY guitar. It is still being lacquered so haven't played it however based on YT reviews I've watched it plays fine when setup properly. For the price this can't be beat. Or buy one of their already assembled models which are all economically priced and have received very good reviews.

DIY fun educational build
Just buy it! I thoroughly enjoyed assembling and finishing this guitar. I bought it because I needed the educational experience and there is something to be said about creating your own guitar. Is it a high end Strat, no. Is it a guitar I would gig with, eh perhaps with some upgrades. But it has become my favorite guitar to play and it feels nice in the lap and the finishes are smooth and the guitar is very user friendly. Assembly was an absolute breeze! I canโt wait to build the tele next! So I built the telecaster version of this kit recently. I am pleased and displeased, yes it looks beautiful, I did change the pick guard from the white one to a black one. The build was much like the strat version and straightforward in all aspects. I did a Rosewood stain and a lot of prep and sanding was needed to prepare the body for stain. I then finished it with around 6-7 coats of gloss lacquer. The neck didnโt exactly fit as well as the strat version, slightly off and after a little tweaking it was better but not perfect, high e string was nearly off the fretboard. You will need to set this guitar up so donโt think itโs plug and play. The frets were covered in a muddy looking stain soI did a fret polish with my dremel tool and now they look decent. It doesnโt seem to play all that well, I will need to do a better setup maybe with a professional to get the pickups dialed in better. It looks great but could be a little better as far as the quality control is concerned.

FUN PROJECT!
This was a Christmas present for my husband. He loves to build kits, and this is his first guitar. Pros: Beautifully illustrated assembly manual. Perfect placement of pre-drilled screw holes. Quality wood and parts. Outstanding customer support team, if needed. Very reasonably priced. Cons: Proper playing setup is a bit challenging if you have never owned a guitar. Luckily, there are plenty of YouTube detailed instructional videos available. Final Review: Beautiful guitar that sounds great! Highly recommended!!!!

Fun kit; great customer service
I am a complete novice and decided to work on this kit. I am having a lot of fun with of course some moments of ๐ omg, but the kit is really well made and has all the components needed. It is a learning process - I am great with DIY and such but as I work on the strings and getting it set up, I look to various YouTube videos to help me with details on setting up and tuning the strings. For me, this learning process is so much fun and I can proudly say I put the strat kit together myself! Now thatโs bragging rights in my friend circle! ๐ As for the Fesley customer service, they are absolutely fantastic! Liam from customer service emailed me prior to the kit arriving and has been helping me with answering all my questions - promptly and professionally. It has been so helpful! Thank you, Liam! He also answered my questions re staining the body, what type of stain and sealer, as well as what type of replacement strings. Additionally, Fesley continues to ask me for feedback re improving their kits. Iโm noting down some areas that I would like to provide feedback/changes/improvements- as I stated I am a novice and since this is a kit that includes those of us new to the guitar world and wanting to expand our knowledge/experience, I think little touches such as color coding the strings, including a pick, expanding on their setup video, to name a few. I will post a follow up with images of my completed guitar! So excited to start tutorials and having fun!๐คฉ

Sweeter than Yoohoo
So my sons got this for me for my birthday. They know their Dad well. Outside of the pickguard being off (had to tweak it with a dremmel) the guitar itself is fantastic. The pickups are surprisingly great. I finished mine with amber shellac. Fretboard, too. I added a treble bleed, orange tone cap, and a brass trem block. I don't really care for trems so I blocked mine. So for $85 plus parts you deem swap worthy you can build a guitar that will rival any thing out there. What a time to be a guitarist. Wow!

Pure garbage ** DO NOT BUY **
They must have sent the wrong hardware kit with the body that I received. The spring's for the tremolo were vastly too short. The spring attachment clip was angled when it should have been 90ยฐ so it didnt sit properly. The bridge didn't entirely cover the hole that it was supposed to cover. Most of the screws were woefully too short and didn't even reach the bottom of the starter hole to touch the wood, let alone sink any threads into the wood to secure it. Because the tremlo springs are not attached there's a wire in there just hanging loose, nowhere to attach it now. I don't know what it does. Pretty janky piece of garbage, but what do you expect for an $80 guitar. I'm tired of returning stuff to the big 'A' for fear of having my account canceled, so I'm just gonna struggle with this thing and try to make it work. Instead of buying this guitar you'd be better off donating the money to charity because then you could feel good about the loss of your $80. You can even deduct it as a charitable contribution. With this guitar kit the only thing you'll be contributing to is a landfill. Name is Feasley but it should be "Weasley" or "Fakesly".

Good quality kit.
Body is lacquer sealed, that has its plus or minuses. Problem if one needs to do an oil based finish. Fine for a painted one.

DIY Telecaster Kit
I have built many guitars and basses over the last 25 years. This was bought as a project for no reason other than something to do, and I had pretty low expectations as some of these DIY kits require quite a few hours of work in order to make parts fit and finish well. I am pleasantly surprised with this one however. The fret work is impeccable and straight, with well finished edges. The body looks great and all pre-cut holes are aligned perfectly. All the hardware looks good, potentiometers have smooth movement and I was impressed with the quick connects on the electronics. Overall this appears to be an excellent product and will make for a very quick build! Obviously the sound of the pickups is very subjective, but even if I swap the factory supplied ones with something better, it will be a minor upgrade in terms of a build. I would definitely recommend this brand particularly if you've never done a build before as it won't get any easier than this. There was even a large book style instruction manual with detailed, color photos for step by step guidance.

Great guitar kit, love the weight and feel of the neck
The body was well prepared for paint, but I would suggest applying a few coats of primer and sanding before painting and clear coating. The body is a soft light mahogany and can dent easily. I used a dark cherry metalic spray paint that went on very nice but would have been better if it was primmed and sanded first to fill up all the pores..The guitar went together very well and sounds good, the only negative thing I had was agjusting the springs for the whammy bar, if you do it as the diagram shows you will have trouble

Good kit
I have assembled other brands of low cost electric guitar kits in the past, but I was impressed with this Fesley kit. All pre-drilled holes for the bridge tailpiece and headstock tuning pegs are straight and line up well. I had it all put together in less than an hour and even though I havenโt completed the all of the setup yet (neck relief, string height action and intonation) it is already quite playable as is.
