Uni Mechanical Pencil, Kuru Toga Advance, 0.7mm, Navy (M75591P.9)

At a glance: I have used the original Kuru Toga, the advance, and the dive. I bought this one as a gift. They are well balanced, comfortable in the hand, and you will not find a better option especially at the price point. A deeper look: I’ve been using the Kuru Toga line of mechanical pencils for about four years now, and they have been the most reliable mechanical pencils I’ve owned. I use them daily for work and have never had any issues with the Advance mechanism or the pencil itself. The rotating lead mechanism keeps the lead wearing evenly, which makes a noticeable difference when writing for extended periods. I have to write, in pencil, for most of the day and I can confirm that it stays sharp and produces a consistent line without constantly having to rotate the pencil by hand. After four years of regular use, mine is still working just as well as it did when I bought it. For a mechanical pencil that gets used frequently, that kind of durability is impressive. If you’re looking for a dependable mechanical pencil that you can use every day for years, I’d definitely recommend the Kuru Toga Advance.

Love this pencil and its ingenious mechanism! Working well so far, but sometimes it seems the lead wears close to the metal sleeve. Even though it still writes, I sometimes click it once manually to advance the lead a bit more. Fairly light, would have preferred a slightly more solid feel. Also would have liked a 0.9mm option. May look at the next model up although $6.99 is not exactly a cheapo pencil.

My handwriting is so much better than that of a regular mechanical pencil. It keeps my words looking sharp, and doesn’t let the tip dull out. I also haven’t broken the tip even once writing over 10 notebook pages.

It works as advertised. It feels cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I like that the weight is not too heavy or too light; it feels great, writes great, always produces sharp, clear letters, and does not produce dull letters. I work a lot with numbers and financials, so having a sharp line and or notes makes it easier. It works great for me.

I am an artist. I LOVE mechanical pencils. If you don't have one of these, you need to buy one now.

Es ingenioso y agradable... Cuando lo usas unas horas. Al principio desagrada un poco el perder precisión... Pero dale esas horas 3 ó 4 y te agradará que la línea se siempre fina
