Great knife set this is my third purchase of hutsul products 1st was strop block excellent craftsmanship, second was slode knife with leather sheath excellent quality and a very functional knife with extreme comfort for long whittling sesh, and now this set I had high expectations going into it , and I was not disappointed it actually exceeded it by far very comfortable and easily becoming my fav . I literally have well over 200 whittling and carving knives and gauges most of all whittling knives are a basic shape suited for the said job but always small in the hand witch causes blistering or slips out of position especially for a guy with big hands like mine these are a blessing in disguise ordering another set, just because I want to 9stars ,can't wait for what's in-store , carving for 50 years I'm sure this set will get me too 100, p.s. I seen some reviews on this set with bent tip or chip blade I can tell you it's a bs. Rookie mistake by the purchasers these knives are solid, hardenss is up there but not over or brittle and yes they will cut !! Ready to go out of box and they didn't skimp on the packages either like well known company's out here do currently, nothing but the truth.... B, King

I really wanted to love this set, it was beautifully packaged with a nice hand written note. The canvas pouch is really nice and the knifes themselves are beautiful. The knifes cut through the wood like hot butter, but three cuts in and the edges were all chipped and looked serrated and started tearing the wood. It's unfortunate, I really loved the price point and the beauty of the whole set, but I cant use them, because they keep chipping and breaking.

Beautiful knives. I loved whittling as a kid and I’m looking for something to occupy myself with that isn’t scrolling. Looking forward to a new hobby. These are great looking. Solid. Sharp. Everything I wanted. Thanks Hutsul!

Decent quality items for a beginner. Look super nice and feel nice to hold. Blades came SUPER nicked though and trying to smooth the edge ruined the strop it came with (again, beginner!) But they’re working great otherwise!

Good beginner wood carving set. Sharp out of the box. Storage roll makes it nice when not in use. Affordable price.

What kind of flimsy steel was used for this? In the first 30 minutes of carving on bass wood, no joke, the edge had several rolls and even broke off at the tip. They refused to retain an edge and when any amount of leverage was applied the blades chipped. Do not ever buy this set.

The product was beautifully packaged with a hand written note from the small business. You dont see that very often and was much appreciated to know time and care went into packing and shipping their product. The knives are beautiful and the roll up travel case is so convenient! Definitely recommend this company!

I bought these knives to round out my set, and was excited to get them. They liked good, and felt good in my hand. Carving in basswood, first cut was OK, not super sharp, but ok. Second cut, same. Third cut and the blade chipped. Basswood is about as soft as it gets and the cut was a shallow cut. I am very disappointed. I have the tools and skill needed to fix the chip, and will, but who needs to buy a tool they need to fix?

As a beginner carver I was always amazed how experienced carver were able to cut through the wood. The sharpness of these knives allows me to cut through the wood with ease. I highly recommend beginners to try these knives. They will be impressed.

As facas são incríveis. Vieram muito bem afiadas, a embalagem é muito bonita, o design de todo o material é excelente. As ferramentas são bem levinhas e ergonômicas. Achei que as lâminas são mais finas do que da Beaver Craft. Não sei se isso implica em algo, se é necessário tomar mais cuidado com a dureza da madeira na hora de esculpir. Mas estou adorando.
