Up to today, the phone has never been dropped (on hard surfaces), looks brand new as if it came out of the box besides a very small blemish to the right of the camera lens. The color is beautiful and matches what is shown online. The phone was very responsive and quick for multiple tasks, it even worked well on Genshin Impact (the game) besides getting a little on the warm side. I paid $299.99 (plus $18.00 tax totaling $317.99) June 22 2024. The phones screen started peeling and shortly after turning into a black line 8-9 months of ownership. As of today, ~16 months of ownership the black line grew to cover ~1 inch varying in size across the middle of the screen. (The progression of the peeling over ~7-8 months) The black line and above no longer responds to touch, only can see display above the black line. Under the black line works as it should. The touch screen not working on the top was discovered as of yesterday. I'm not sure of how many total reports there have been of this model of phone but with my experiences I would consider a different phone and perhaps avoid all of the Galaxy Z Flip or Fold phones. If you do consider to buy a Flip or Fold phone and expect it to last quite a bit longer than the warranty, while still being reliable, I highly advise to do your research. Sharing the steps I've taken so far... I've contacted Amazon. Seems they cant do much as its after a year of when I'm reporting this. I left a voicemail to Chubbiestech, the seller, to see what they can do. I will give Samsung a try as well as this problem is from a design flaw, not wear and tear. I also taken multiple pictures and a video of the phone and the phone case purchased for the phone to show the condition of the phone (phone looks brand new besides the screen where it is peeling and some finger prints on the sides) I would post the video however it is too big in size. The pictures shown are the phone along with the phone case. The case is scratched up a bit on the bottom left corner, however this only caused a cosmetic flaw to the case purchased separately for the phone. The case did its job protecting the phone for normal use excluding drops as the phone has never been dropped on hard surfaces. I'm sure its been lightly tossed on the bed, dropped into a pocket, and placed into a purse with other items that most likely caused the cosmetic flaw on the case. The phone has only been open while in use, so only fingers and weather touched the screen. A screen protector has never been applied to the phone. This is the first time I've ever had trouble with a product design itself sold on the Amazon platform out of 86 items.

Very nice graphics would buy again. The battery doesn't last that long, so you have to charge it a lot.

Edit: Broke in less than two years just from regular folding. Only the second half works. It's basically useless since I can't touch quick settings and notification bar. Original review: I bought this phone as soon as prices dropped. Things I like: - It's small enough to fit in pockets and purses. - Front (selfie) camera is higher quality than any android I've used. - Can use cover screen as a selfie mirror when taking photos with back camera. - On the cover screen I can easily read weather info, control music, and turn off upcoming alarms. - Can multi-task with split screen or pop-up screen. - Locked screen shows charging time. - Control panel shows battery % of Bluetooth devices. - Can automatically turn off phone to keep things running smoothly. Things I dislike: - Battery life isn't long. - Doesn't have a headphone jack. - Phone is slim and long. Hard to press things at the top. - Camera is very warm toned and saturated. - A lot of gaming apps haven't adapted to this screen ratio yet. - Cover screen can display the full SMS or IG message for two seconds when they're received, but once I try to toggle to the notifications slide, the message is kept private. - Fingerprint reader is too sensitive.

This review is for the phone as well as the process of buying a Renewed item through Amazon. I purchased this phone because I could not find a phone that isn't massive but that still had the features and performance I require for daily use, so I decided to try this renewed Flip 4. The 90 day return policy and the great price convinced me to try it out. Not sure if I can name the seller in the review but I basically selected the phone in the best condition from the highest-rated seller fulfilled by Amazon. The phone arrived in blank packaging with a charging cable. It looks like there is a screen protector installed, plus there was a plastic film on top of the screen for packaging. It came half charged. The phone itself looks brand new. No detectable blemishes or signs of use. Hinge is nice and solid. Full charge was very fast (with fast charger). Setup fairly easy with Samsung transfer app but I am still missing a few passwords and accounts. I can manually add those later. There is a lot of bloatware from Samsung, plus carrier junk apps. (I think this is carrier unlocked- when I put my SIM it, it applied my carrier settings and apps.) Battery life (as expected-lots of info on this) is not great. I knew that going in. I am tracking battery usage throughout the day with different levels of use- screen open and closed, dormant or playing videos - and it seems as though this particular device doesn't deplete battery any more than would be typical for a phone this age. I suspect this particular phone was very gently used to begin with. Example: battery depleted about 10-15% overnight with no use, not plugged in. With heavier usage the battery use goes up to about 10% per hour. Not sure if there's anything I can adjust/disable to make this more efficient. My old phone would give me 1.5 to 2 days of a charge with regular use so this will be an adjustment. The screen is beautiful and easy to see. Samsung is an upgrade overall for me and I am pleased with how smooth it runs. Nice on-screen keyboard, etc. I am not tech savvy so there are probably too many customization options for me personally. I really just want a phone that works well for calls, that I can text on and use internet and maps periodically. This should do the job just fine. No SD storage and no headphone jack. I guess that's becoming customary. The device doesn't seem flimsy at all. That being said, I would get a case ASAP in the event of inadvertent drops - it happens. Signal and connection seem good, as does speaker quality. The fingerprint sensor is on the side near the volume buttons. Not sure I am crazy about this placement and it never registers the first time for me, but I think that's probably a user (me) problem. Overall I had a very good experience buying Renewed. Anyone who is interested in trying a flip smartphone, this is very economical option without a major commitment. I will update my review accordingly if, within 90 days, anything goes haywire on the device.

bought a phone from this company TWICE. The first one wouldnt stay powered on and the second the mic wasnt working lucky enough. I was lucky enough to get it replaced but the second one was too close to the persons bitrhday so i wasnt able to inspect it fully the phone powered on and worked fine. it when i called the person when they were at the airport did we realize the phone mic was not working. 2 times i was sold a defective phone from this company and they have no remorse for selling crappy half done not properly fixed devices. This is a good phone. Biut hard to repair. I shouldnt have to buy a phone just to have to pay more money for someone to fix something that shouldve have already come in good condition. Absolutely dissppointed and annoyed - then have the nerve to offer 5% partial refund for a device they sold that doesnt even F****** work

Love this phone Performance is good and the fold is cool But you do have a deadline on this phone with numerous issues with the screen thats well documented Mine started with hinge issues at about year in Closing the screen would instantly power off the phone, so the whole gimmick of it folding just didnt work after awhile, leaving me with a candy bar phone with a plastic screen i lived with it as the phone still functioned with equivalent performance to a S22 But at about the 14 month mark, i started getting a screen issue My screen would just refuse to turn on sometimes or would turn on to a yellow screen indicating a ribbon cable issue Now with my folding issue i assumed "okay i cant fold it so i just banged it the wrong way finally" but no the yellow screen or non responsive screen issue is very common on the flip 3 and 4s and relates to bad magnet sensors, driver issues, and ribbon degradation issues I dealt with it for a few more months since the issue began until my screen just finally gave out and replaced the phone Great phone but you are on a deadline

Mex: 14 dias -Llegó con estética de 99.9 solo tiene un raspon muy pequeño en el detector de huellas, en una camara y tenía un poco de polvo en el aro de las cámaras. Incluye cable y llave. -¿Recomiendo comprarlo? Solo debajo de los 8k y versión de 256 gb y solo si estas dispuest@ a cuidarlo. A tomar en cuenta considero que estos equipos (por los comentarios que vi) seguramente tuvieron reemplazo de pantalla, lo digo por que llego sin la mica original y veo que a varios les llega asi, tomen en cuenta que de acuerdo al mismo fabricante debe de tener su mica protectora, yo opte por comprar una por si las dudas, de igual manera le compre un case con bumper. Lo conseguí por un precio increíble de 6,700. color azul versión de 256 Gb la verdad me impresione por que no lo habia visto nunca en ese precio. Este celular me gusta muchisimo, lo deseaba desde que salio, sin embargo quería ver como se movían los precios y como estaban en cuando a resistencia por que sé que el Z3 tenia varias áreas de mejora. También estuve revisando el costo de reparaciones y refacciones, afortunadamente actualmente ya uno puede conseguir el display por internet y cada dia bajan más de precio, para mi es importante poder reparar las cosas y alargar su vida util. Lo compre con esa idea, que si fallaba la pantalla fuera del tiempo que da Amazon Renewed, estaria dispuesta a hacerle el cambio de pantalla yo misma. Si, fue una compra más por capricho, tengo otro samsung de respaldo por si las dudas. Es un equipo con buenas características, además de lo delicado de la pantalla su otro punto bajo es en la bateria, si lo usas mucho no te rinde el dia, sin embargo carga rapidisimo. De momento llevo 1 semana con el, obviamente lo cuido mucho pero si lo estoy usando como equipo principal y me lo llevo a la oficina, me encanto. De verdad espero dure por lo menos 2 años sin fallas importantes. Estaré actualizando mi comentario con el tiempo.

I went from super excited to very disappointed. The phone was defective from the start. The flip open feature did not turn on the display main screen, and the close feature did not turn on the closed/2nd display either. Then, the display would flicker and go off, which may come on in about 30 seconds. The phone appeared to be working in the dark, as I could hear calls, texts and emails but no display to access them.

La verdad adquirí está opción con mucho temor por algunos comentarios pero no podía desaprovechar la oportunidad de conseguir este tipo de teléfono a un super precio y me alegra haberme arriesgado! Llegó con una estética de 10 en mi opinión (la descripción decía calidad excelente y cumplió) y con una batería en un 93% de vida útil, lo único que no traía fue la caja original tal y como dice que es posible en la descripción para este tipo de productos por lo que no fue problema y traía un cargador original. A pesar de venir de USA, no tuve problemas para ponerle un sim de méxico (telcel) y reconoció todo sin problemas. La verdad quedé muy contenta con mi compra ya que me ahorré casi el 80% del valor original del teléfono. Espero siga funcionando todo a la perfección ya que solo llevo una semana con él y hasta el momento todo va bien. Si es así, definitivamente estaré al pendiente para otros modelos reacondicionados
