I have been using this product for 7 years, and it performs well. It is effective at keeping the crabgrass. The granules are quite large and yellow, so I would make sure your spreader can accommodate them. Read the instructions before using this product because, since the granules are large, you will think you need more coverage, but you do not. Trust the process. If you time this product with the ground germination temperature for crabgrass, it will be very effective. I apply the prodiamine once a year in early spring, and it gets the job done for the entire year. Due to rain runoff, there are rules for how much fertilizer we can use in my area, and I was researching what would get the job done with less product, and this definitely fits the bill. Seven years with little crabgrass.

Work great for my yard

This stuff is awesome for preventing the sprouting of weed seeds. It has no effect on the established lawn or bedding plants, just keeps seeds from germinating. I apply once in late winter, and again sometime during the summer. It doesn't take much, either. I did have to contact the manufacturer for dosage instructions, they are not written on the bag. I wonder why.

Easy to apply

I have used this pre-emergent twice. I'm not 100 percent yet of it's effectiveness for warm season weeds. I still had some weeds but I either didn't get it out in time because I do have a few weeds. However the yard is starting to look better.

So much easier to use than the one that has to be mixed with water and sprayed on. Seems to work as it should.

First of all I never leave reviews. I own a business and don't like hurting other ones so this is a rare review. I put this out in mid February in mississippi and now I have weeds i have never had. I have barley grass weeds. I didn't even know that existed. I have the yellow stickers now and I haven't had those in over 10 years. I will never order again and will stay with my msm2. Very disappointed

Buy it. It works so well. I put mine down on March 1st. My grass has come in nicely, without a single weed showing up. I’m so pleased. It’s like a magic seasoning that keeps your lawn looking great. Follow the directions and try to time it just right. You really need to get this down BEFORE the soil temps hit 60F.
