Great Coffee maker!
After doing some googling, I saw that Braun has a reputation for top-notch and high quality coffee makers. I decided to give the Braun MultiServe Plus Drip coffee maker a go, and I am very happy I did! It is a good looking appliance, stylish, sturdy and well built. It has 7 programmed brewing sizes as follows: 5oz, 8oz, 12oz, 16oz, 20oz, half carafe (25oz) or full carafe (50oz). A full carafe holds five 10oz cups of coffee, which is pretty standard. It can brew an entire carafe "in less than 8 minutes," which I can verify is indeed true. I typically drink a 16oz mug of coffee every morning. Using the Gold option, my coffee comes out PERFECT. It tastes amazing, and the temperature is just right IMO (I have seen some reviews state it is not hot enough). It finished my 16oz mug in 3.5 minutes after hitting start. I have to note here, I wasn't specifically looking for a coffee maker that makes cold brew coffee, but now that I have one, I am thrilled! I love it. It makes cold brew in less than 15 minutes. This would take FOREVER doing it other ways, so in the past I have rarely made it myself. I think this might be new favorite thing about this coffee maker, frankly. I have already used this feature several times, and I've only had the coffee maker about a week. Though I usually prefer freshly ground beans, I am happy to report that it is fully programmable. Using the Auto on function, you can set the machine to brew coffee up to 24 hours in advance, which is definitely useful for those days you know you are going to be in a hurry the next morning. You can also change the amount of time it keeps the carefe warm after coffee is made, from 15 minutes all the way up to 4 hours. The warmer turns on automatically if you select a half or a full carafe. You can also turn it off/on manually. I tested out the auto program to see how easy it was, and it worked perfectly, and was very simple. Finally, it has a 3 year warranty coverage to ensure lasting performance. This definitely gives me confidence that, unlike my last coffee maker brand that broke a month after 1 year warranty ended, this coffee maker is going to last me long time! Companies don't offer 3 year warranties often, and when they do, it means the item is built to LAST. TLDR: I am enthusiastically satisfied with this coffee maker. It makes amazing coffee, easy and quick, has plenty of options, and is built to LAST. I have already recommended it to a few friends/family members.

Simple and Versitile
I am impressed and happy with the purchase of my Braun MultiServe Plus Coffee Maker. After a few weeks of use, I wanted to write a review to express how much better this model is than my prior drip coffee machine (not a Braun). I typically make my coffee in the traditional hot way, and it's as simple as a click of the dial to make a cup, a whole carafe, or anything in between. The coffee tastes delicious and is so easy to make. No filter paper is required, and it makes a steaming cup of Joe so quickly. Then it keeps it warm with a customizable countdown for the next cup. It's easy to read and super simple to program, so you have your delicious coffee waiting for you in the morning. I recently started experimenting with Cold Brew and Iced Coffee. This machine does that! It does take a bit longer, but it's just as simple. A cold coffee was a refreshing change for me. It even has a Golden Coffee setting, which I will eventually graduate to as I am still enjoying the hot, iced, and Cold Brew. The cleanup is very easy, and I enjoy having a dependable pot of coffee each morning.

Don't buy this unless you like disappointment.
I would like to say, initially I liked the design of this coffee maker but that's as far as I would go with the positive review portion. Now as far as the negatives... You cannot warm coffee in this coffee maker. No setting the timer for the next day and just reheating what was left over from the previous day. The features and functionality of this Braun is far too advanced to allow for those types of behaviors. You need to brew a completely new pot if you're going to do that. Truthfully, there are a few days here and there I just don't need all of that days brew. The features don't stop there. If you forget to change settings from your previous brewing adventure from yesterday, or you teenager decides they want a cold brew and forgot to switch it back over, well... your just going to have to wait for the cycle to finish, as if your coffee is as complex as your AI Wash Machine. Finally, after 10 months... that brewing system that you did all the research on and decided to go with this make and model, gives your your final disappointment... no coffee in the morning. In fact, not only does it not give you your morning Joe, it decides to share your contents with the floor instead... fortunately I have a back-up Mr Coffee for these days of disappointment!! So my review at the end of the day is this, while esthetically pleasing, this will fulfill your greatest disappointments! -Justin

Versatile, Easy-to-Use With Gold Cup Quality
This coffee maker looks and feels pretty solid. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it is easy to use and works well so far. It’s made of stainless steel and plastic. I appreciate that the carafe is made of glass and is lightweight which makes it easy to handle. It’s great to have those multiple settings where you can customize with Over- Ice, Cold Brew, Gold or Bold at the touch of a button. Over-ice is my fave. With the multiserve dial, you can choose from 7 different brewing sizes depending on your needs - from a single cup to a full carafe. It’s Gold Cup Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) certified, so this machine meets high-quality brewing standards. This is especially notable since only around 30 home brewers currently hold this certification. I particularly love the dedicated hot water dispenser since I am also a tea drinker. I can enjoy my tea without the coffee taste. Plus, it has adjustable keep warm which keep my coffee or water warm for up to 4 hours. It’s pod-free and comes with a reusable gold tone filter which is better for the environment and saves money over time. The biggest drawback for me is the plastic filter basket. During brewing this can get very hot and a bit messy too. It’s BPA-free but still, the potential for chemical leaching is still concerning. Overall, this coffee maker is versatile, easy to use and delivers great-tasting coffee.

Fantastic Coffee Maker!
After using this coffee maker, I have been extremely impressed! The first notable feature I love about this product is its sleek, stainless steel design. This gives the coffee maker a very refined and elegant look. The next notable feature to point out about this coffee maker is its water reservoir size. The water reservoir holds a total of fifty ounces, allowing me to have ample amounts of coffee for guests. Another great feature about this coffee pot is all of the different brewing modes that are included. The “Cold Brew” mode is able to make the perfect cold brew beverage in just thirteen minutes. The machine practically does all of the work itself. The strength of the cold brew has also been fairly strong. The next mode on this coffee pot is the “Over Ice” mode. This mode helps to quickly brew a strong cup (or pot) of coffee over a cup of ice. Because of its strength however, the ice does not seem to water the coffee down. The next mode, which is perhaps my favorite, is the “Gold” mode. This is essentially the go-to mode for your perfect pot of coffee. The coffee will have a great balance of flavor (but at the same time, will not be so strong that you can’t taste anything). This mode is pretty solid in perfecting my morning coffee. The final mode, the “Bold” mode, is exactly as it sounds. This mode provides a slower, deeper brew for those that want a richer cup of coffee. I find this mode to be best for extracting the maximum amount of flavor from the coffee. Another convenient and notable feature worth pointing out is the auto on feature. This enables me to specify the specific time I want my coffee to brew. The system also has an auto off feature. An additional benefit to this machine is the ability to select a brew size. You can brew anything from five ounces up to fifty ounces. This is perfect for ensuring I brew just the right amount of coffee, while eliminating any wasted coffee. Finally, I have loved how the machine stops when I remove my coffee pot, preventing messes. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this coffee maker and would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a truly customizable cup of coffee that’s sure to leave you feeling recharged.

I didn't know coffee makers could be this great!
This bran coffee maker has been great and totally replaced our old one. Set up was super easy, and the coffee is honestly wonderful. I love that I can brew a full pot for the family, or just fill up my travel mug before I head out for an early shift. Having all the different side options is perfect for us. The programming works great, so coffee is ready when I am. There are a lot of little things I like to, like I can turn off the beep when it's done brewing, so it doesn't wake anybody up, and you can set a timer for the hot plate. Cleaning it is no big deal either. We still haven't even tried all the modes, but I'm really looking forward to making some cold brew with it. Seriously, it's a great machine.

Minimal burning of coffee oil’s.
This brewed what is possibly the third best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. The two best cups of black coffee I ever had both came from Bunn thermally regulated machines (big bucks). This is the first non-regulated machine that almost made a cup of coffee without burning any of the oil. The burning of the coffee oil was minimal, I don’t think many people would detect it besides the few of us that enjoy black coffee and can tell when the oil is burnt. Overall it’s a really nice machine, it is compact, easy to operate, the carafe doesn’t dribble and seems to brew a really good cup of coffee. Although it is 2 to 4 times less expensive than all the other coffee makers I’ve ever owned, it out brews all of them except one (a Bunn). However at this price and simplicity you can’t go wrong. I have found that I get a nearly perfect cup of coffee if I refrigerate the carafe of water overnight before brewing. The only gripe I really have about the coffee maker is that the clock is difficult to read because it is not backlit and with the lighting in my kitchen there is a glare on the plastic covering the clock making it difficult to read. So forget the clock, forget setting it to turn on in the morning, and don’t think it’s going to make a chime to let you know it’s done. All those features don’t work or are impossible to see or don’t exist. Just enjoy a great cup of coffee from a quality $40 machine. On a side note, you should leave the top open when you are done brewing to let the moisture out and if by some chance, you pull the carafe out while brewing for too long the brew chamber can overfill with water and back up the coffee grounds into your sprayer. If this happens and you have a spray hose at your sink, turn it upside down, and wash it out. You may get some grounds circulated up through the sprayer for a while, but your coffee filter will keep them from going into your carafe. For those of you that want to taste a cup of coffee exactly like what you had in your favorite restaurant you can drop about $900 to fully outfit a Bunn 12950. To update, it is now April 2025 and the little coffee maker is still going strong, so I bought another one, because if you live in California It is against state law for manufacturers to sell replacement parts for small (residential appliances) so since I’ve had this unit unit since 2019 I figured I should buy another one before it is discontinued or heaven forbid, it possibly breaks. I discovered this obscure state law when my (Bunn) coffee makers heating element went out. I called the manufacture to purchase a replacement element, and they informed me as to California law and why they could not sell me the replacement part, they stated to me that appliances listed as (Commercial) can have replacement parts but not (residential).

Cheaply made for the price!!!!!
I owned an older BRAUN model 3107 12-cup BrewSense unit. It was a decent unit, although all plastic, it was well made. I was searching for an all stainless steel unit and willing to pay for it but there isn't one in existence (I don't understand why noone makes one). Braun has a good reputation and I decided to try their newest model, although all plastic it says it has a ceramic heating element and some stainless steel. I dont see any stainless steel anywhere, unless its inside the unit. Also it makes ice coffee. I received the unit 2 hours ago, the Amazon shipping box was intack but the unit box was ripped on the sides and one corner. That was clearly an indication that the unit was mishandled. I opened the box and noticed the unit was upside down. I removed the unit and it looked like the original wrapping was not removed. I unwrapped the unit and all the parts, assembled everything and noticed the unit was not sitting level on the counter. Upon further examination I noticed the warmer plate base was bent with a visible dent on bottom right of the warmer plate. I decided to put some felt on the bottom of the unit to level it and try it out. I was very disappointed with unit as follows : 1. Unit is made with cheap plastic, very flimsy 2. Quality wise, no comparison to the older model 3. There is a Stop Drip lever. If you forget to set it and pull the carafe out while coffee is brewing it will keep dripping all over the counter. Why would you install this? It baffles my mind. This is the first coffee maker I've ever seen that does not have an auto stop drip when the carafe is removed. 4. The coffee filter basket cover is made with cheap thin plastic and while coffee is brewing, it gets very very hot. Steam is coming out of all sides of the coffee basket. I dont see how this will not leak plastic into the coffee. Over time this plastic cover will melt for sure. 5. Coffee taste - I made half a carafe of coffee using the measurement recommendations on gold setting and the coffee tasted very strong, bitter and 'plasticky'. I was very disappointed with this unit from Braun. I decided to keep the unit and try it some more and figure out all the settings and will report back soon.
