Cuts like butter. Others have not lasted 1 season. These will pay for themselves. Review: Great Buy - I've been using these loppers now for more than a year, and they've never let me down. they're incredibly well-made and strong, and work as well today as they did when I first got them. pruning happens at least once a week, and they've been fantastic for trees and bushes. being able to adjust the length of the handles is a boon, too. I won't be at all surprised if they're still in use ten or twenty years from now. HIGHly recommended!

Quite sturdy.
My concern about extendedable handles was their rigidity when cutting big branches. The first thing I check was that and it felt very solid and strong, no looseness. I cut a few branches to test and it was smooth. I took one star off because for storage, the handles are far apart with an angle toward the ends , not parallel with each other.
