Not carbon, but...
I'm a barber. 40 years... my eyes are getting older, and I wanted to be able to see dark hair against the comb. Most of them are too sharp on the tips, or too thin, only one is useful, but I am still glad I bought the set just for the one. I don't think they are carbon.

I have bought item at the 99 cent store that are of better quality than these combs. I had to wait over 20 days for this items and they felt as if they were made from paper. Amazon should have a standard for customers that have to pay for their membership and only allow the best products for prime member much like costco or sams.
