Great quality product
I bought the Puresport Ultra Magnesium supplements. Really speed delivery. Absolutely love the packaging and the information about the product is clear and helpful. Great dosage and make-up of the magnesium alongside vitamin D and beetroot - a combination I haven’t seen in other supplements I’ve tried. Clearly a high quality product, looking forward to working this into my regime longterm to help with training, sleep and general health.

The Smart Way to Try Before You Commit
The trial pack format from Puresport reflects the same confidence that ran through their energy gel trial pack reviewed earlier in this session. Rather than requiring a full month's investment in a supplement you may not yet know suits you, the seven-day supply lets you establish whether the formula integrates well into your routine before spending more. For a magnesium supplement with a formulation this considered, that is the right approach from both the brand and the buyer's perspective. The three-form magnesium complex is what separates this from a standard magnesium capsule. Using citrate, bisglycinate, and taurate together rather than a single form addresses different aspects of magnesium's role in the body simultaneously. Magnesium citrate is well absorbed and particularly useful for electrolyte balance and energy metabolism, which matters during and after training. Bisglycinate, paired with glycine, is the form best supported by research for sleep quality and nervous system calming, which is why the brand recommends taking the three-capsule daily dose in the evening. Taurate, combined with taurine, provides additional support for cardiovascular and neuromuscular function. At 225mg of elemental magnesium across the three forms, the dose is meaningful rather than a token inclusion and easy to swallow. There's no unpleasant odour fortunately. The addition of 1000mg of beetroot powder and vegan Vitamin D3 from algae rounds out the formula beyond a standalone magnesium product. Beetroot's nitrate content supports nitric oxide production and blood flow during exercise, and Vitamin D3 supports muscle function and immune health in a formulation clearly built for active people who are frequently deficient in both nutrients. The Informed Sport certification is the quality signal that matters most for competitive athletes, but it also functions as a general reassurance of batch-testing standards for anyone who takes their supplement intake seriously. One expectation worth setting honestly: Puresport acknowledges that it can take up to twelve weeks to feel the full benefits of consistent magnesium supplementation. Seven days is enough to assess tolerability, establish the habit, and notice whether the evening dose influences sleep quality, but it is not a complete trial of what sustained use delivers. The trial pack is the introduction, not the verdict. At 8gbp this is good value.

No junk
No junk ingredients. Vegan friendly. Lab tested. All good signs for this product. Pill size on the larger side but still easy to consume

Puresport is the best
Added this Puresport product to my short list of supplements. Take these before bed and get a good night sleep. Into a routine now and seeing steady and stable HRV statistics I seem to get off to sleep quicker and deeper.

Good quality supplement
Tried this 7-day magnesium pack before committing and really liked it. I mainly got it for sleep and recovery, and I did notice I felt more relaxed at night and less stiff after workouts. Super handy for travel and a good way to test it without buying a full size. Only downside is it’s quite short, but I’ll probably order the full version now.

Decent trial pack
I ordered this trial pack as it is a seven day supply, so a clever way to try the product before committing to a full-size pack. So while not the cheapest magnesium option per serving, for a trial pack from a recognised sports supplement brand, I still think it is good value for money if you want to test tolerance and routine first. (I am often sensitive to stuff, so always prefer to test first). The formula uses three forms of magnesium (bisglycinate, citrate and taurate), which are often chosen for absorption and different uses in the body. It also includes beetroot powder and vitamin D3, so might support recovery, muscle function and active lifestyles rather than being just a sleep support supplement. The suggested serving is three capsules daily, and they were easy to swallow with no taste or after taste. I measured them at just under an inch long. I think for anyone who wants to try magnesium for sleep or recovery without buying a large amount straight away, this is a decent trial pack. The main downside is that seven days may not be long enough to judge the full benefits, especially as magnesium can take longer to noticeably make a difference.

Terrible product listing, be wary of consuming too much magnesium
The first thing to note about this product is that, at the time of writing, the Amazon product listing is missing one key piece of information. The dose of magnesium contained in each capsule is not stated anywhere on the listing. It is 225mg per three capsules, which is a little misleading given normal practice is to list the dose per capsule. The good thing about this is that given 75mg of magnesium per capsule, you can take a lower dose to suit yourself by taking one, or possibly two, capsules instead of the recommended three. According to the NHS website, for those aged 19 to 64, men need 300mg of magnesium per day and women need 270mg. It also states that taking more than 400mg of magnesium can cause diarrhoea and that the long-term effects of taking too much are not known due to lack of evidence. Therefore I would be wary about this supplement if you consume magnesium in reasonable amounts in your normal diet. The stated main benefits of magnesium are that it turns the food we eat into energy and makes sure the parathyroid glands, which produce hormones important for bone health, work normally. There is actually far more beetroot powder, 1000mg, present than there is magnesium. There is also 10μg of vitamin D3. Whether you want to consume these things in addition to the magnesium is worth considering before consuming this product. Again, these quantities are per three capsules. Personally, I would think that one capsule per day would be sufficient for me given the foods I consume and the vitamin D derived from sunlight. The capsules themselves are fine and easy to swallow. The average consumer has no way of testing products like this to make sure they are what they say they are, but assuming the stated ingredients and doses of various things are accurate, then I'd happily take a low dose of one capsule per day. Taking three might cause diarrhoea and potentially unknown long-term side effects. Another issue with the product listing at the moment is that the title suggests that you receive 60 capsules, while in other places further down the page it states 90 capsules. It is 90 capsules. The best before date was 20 months from the date of delivery.

Seven Day Trail Size Pack
First off this is a one week supple of 21 magnesium capsules and not a full months supply. The capsules come in a handy resealable pouch which is great for travelling, in fact Iam going to keep mine and refill it for this purpose. The capsules are an average size and easy enough to swallow, the dose is three capsules per day. Overall this is an expensive way to buy magnesium but it is a really good make with three types of magnesium as well as beetroot and Vitamin D3 so another way to look at it is as a trial to see how well the magnesium works for you instead of going for a full size pack straight off.
