Excellent sound, and as a desktop DAC/Amp, this thing should be fed by a USB port with some real power capacity (or at least not a portable like a tablet or phone).They seem to be able to drive my 300Ω Sennheiser to dangerous volume levels without distortion. I'm not in the habit of listening at that kind of volume for very long.I don't hear any noise or distortion at any volume, in fact - the DAC & Amp are both excellent. The build quality appears top notch, though the case is clearly an area where some cost cutting happened (it's a bit of a generic case, but serviceable).The bottom of the case has some non-slip silicone pads integrated into it. I wish it covered the whole bottom, but it's still better than nothin'. It's also nice to have an optical in. I'm not sure if I'll ever use it, but options are good.I love being able to use the push knob to pause/play skip music, and even turn the SK02 off (rather than an always-on power sink).I bought mine with a package deal that was cheaper to get an Orange knob - I'm not entirely sold on the look, but it's certainly easier to find the knob.The SK02 a bigger amp than the diminutive Fosi DS2, and is definitely louder. It also has more features. I've got both, love both - they're different horses for different courses.

I like the look. Like it the sound. Liked the features. Works well in Windows, but in Android doesn't. Fosi needs to update for Android.

The best sounding results were found when streaming movies or from .FLAC audio files while pairing this unit with a SK01 Preamp using its Line level input. I found that using the SK02's AUX/OPT 3.5mm connect jack (which also doubles as an optical ouput jack as well) gave a higher output level than the headphone jack. Using a 12" long 3.5mm male TRS to 3.5mm male TRS from the Aux Out of the SK02 into the Line IN of the SK01 provided the best undistored output when connecting a 3.5mm to RCA splitter from the SK01 Line out to a 75WPC Amp. This preamp's mid range control provided a lot better tone than the K5 pro that did not have this mid adjustability. The SK02's range from CD to DSD playback (SA-CD) quality allows this unit to be used across many hifi input devices.

It’s surprisingly good. Pushes well above its price range. Hasn’t had any issues pushing my planars and open backs. I love the high low output for my IEMs.

I use this DAC to connect my 2.1 stereo desktop speakers and my headphones to my PC. It’s not very expensive at $70 on sale, and it had a clean signal.It’s not very big which is nice, but it’s just a box. I actually like the look of it. The dial on top has a good tactile resistance and is easy to fine tune volume.

This is a great sounding unit that sounds fantastic straight out of the box. Also can be paired with the sk01 for more equalization control. Fosi is a company that can be counted on to produce affordable and great product.

I liked the 1 cable connection to the computer.I didnt like that it failed just after the return window was closed.
