These Came In Great Condition
Sometimes the books we receive have not been properly protected in the shipping box. These were not at all damaged & the stories are a fun way for our little grandson to begin attempting reading for himself.

Great for Child Progressing in Reading
I got the whole series to motivate and help my kindergartener progress in his reading level. He's progressed past phonics books and predictable easy readers, so I needed something that would help expand his vocabulary and to allow us to work with him on reading fluency. These are perfect and very appealing to him. When he'd choose reading books from school, he would invariably pick ones that were at a much higher reading level or he would pick a book targeted for girls and end up not being interested in it. He loves the fly guy books and kids just seem to like books in a series, so that helps to motivate him to continue.

funny and get my kids reading happily
Fly Guy was a goldmine for our family. This set is paper back without the glittery cover. I sort of wanted that glitter and glam. The stories are cute, funny and get my kids reading happily. There are several word bubbles that are highly readable for kids learning to read. For example, the fly says "Buzz". Kids get a kick out of it.

Stories Good, but Binding/Format Not What I Expected
I am giving 3 stars for the VERSION of the book, not the books themselves. These are really dinky Scholastic paperback versions of the books; not the decent paperback versions with bindings that I would buy in a bookstore. I bought two sets of these to give out as favors, and I wish that the seller had been more clear, as I could have bought these for a fraction of the price from Scholastic through my child's school. Or I would have paid very slightly more to buy the much nicer version from the bookstore. As for the books themselves, the stores are great, and they are a good easy reader gender neutral option.
