Great all-round airbrush
Initially bought this as an add-on to my Iwata eclipse for the more rough painting jobs (primer, clear coat, etc.). However, having used it on a number of model kits, I think it's actually a great all-rounder. The trigger system is quite clever and is something I now use for the more delicate jobs as well. The open nozzle cap design is also brilliant as it's much easier to sort out dry tip issues vs my other airbrush. The only minor issue I have is with the removable cup, as it is just a bit too easy to take out. This is great for cleaning, but sometimes causes it to come slightly out and leak a bit of paint. No major issue, but just wanted to share. Overall good value and with a lot of functionality - would recommend.

Brilliant airbrush
So this is my second airbrush, the first was a £30 cheap Chinese one. That did the job ok, but after a bit it was getting frustrating with the variable results. The needle didn't sit perfectly centered, so the spray went all over, and I seemed to spend more time cleaning it than using it. Poor manufacturing tolerances meant that the paint got everywhere, so it needed a full strip after every painting session. This airbrush felt a bit of a stretch price-wise, but I'm so glad I bought it.A key factor in choosing this was the Harder & Steenbeck YouTube channel, there's a great video called "our *NEW* Ultra watch our game-changing new painting process.." which is really good, shows you exactly how to use it.The pre-set settings for air & paint volume make using it a doddle, and watch how the guy cleans it - no need to strip it, just use a soft brush working forwards on the (protected) needle tip. It's really well-made, easy to use and even easier to clean, and it's transformed my airbrushing. If you're contemplating the step-up from a cheap brush, just do it - you won't regret it, and you'll start to get great results - and start to enjoy airbrushing again!

Harder & Steenbeck Ultra Airbrush – Exceptional Entry-Level Performance
Pros:• Superior Build Quality: The Ultra boasts a robust construction with a nickel-plated finish, ensuring durability and a professional feel.• Beginner-Friendly Design: Features like the Start Control trigger system prevent common mistakes by ensuring air is activated before paint flow, aiding in developing proper technique.• Versatility: The modular design allows for easy upgrades, including compatibility with parts from higher-end models like the Infinity.• Ease of Maintenance: The self-centering nozzle design facilitates quick disassembly and cleaning, making it user-friendly for beginners.Cons:• Trigger Tension: Some users may find the trigger slightly stiff initially, but it becomes more comfortable with use.• Finish Wear: Over time, the coating inside the paint cup may wear off, though this doesn’t affect performance. Conclusion:The Harder & Steenbeck Ultra airbrush offers exceptional value for both beginners and seasoned modelers. Its combination of quality, ease of use, and upgrade potential makes it a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about airbrushing.

Excellent Air Brush
Fabulous product, H&S make much more expensive air brushes, however for what I need it's ideal (Warhammer/miniatures) very robust build quality, easy to clean and simple to use.Delivery was early as well and well packaged.Couldn't be happier

Ease of use and finish.
I'm new to Airbrushing, I've had cheap AB's and they really didn't last or the application of paint was poor. I'm a miniature painter and miniatures are expensive so I upgraded to the Ultra, it's very easy to maintain, clean and use. It has five settings, its a ring that sits behind the trigger. It's sits nice in your hand and is light in weight and if you shop around you can pick it up for under £90, I'd definitely recommend this product.

Excellent, and good value for money.
This is a really good quality airbrush, I have tried several cheaper models but this is in a different league. It sprays really well, and is easy to adjust and clean👍👍. Well worth the money.

Great Airbrush but...
After the first use of this airbrush and having suffered a lot of tip dry (probably user error), I cleaned the airbrush using Vallejo airbrush cleaner and removed the needle to wipe it dry. To my horror / dismay I noticed what appeared to be a gouge in the top 1.5mm of the needle. I have contacted H&S directly to discuss the problem with them (message sent 17.30 18th September 2024) so am awaiting a reply from them. I love the old Ultra and was really happy with the new Ultra 2024 but a gouge in the needle is not something you expect to find. This is probably just something that was missed by quality control and in no way does it detract from the ease of use the airbrush.I have given it 5 stars because it's a great brush, I would have (if I had the money) bought one of the more expensive H&S airbrushes.Apart from this one problem I would not only buy H&S again but I don't think I could ever go back to the cheap Airbrushes that you find on Amazon.*UPDATE* Have spoken to H&S customer services (23rd September 2024) via email, they are replacing the faulty part and it's already been sent. Amazing and friendly customer service. It just shows that they have a dedication to their products and their customers.
