I have been slowly growing my hair out gray because I'm 70 now and don't want anymore chemicals on my head. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. It didn't cover the gray completely but it left my hair mostly blondish with some gray and I LOVE IT. So, I just used it today. Not sure how long it will last but can add more review later. I didn't have help to part my hair and my hair is long so I just made the paste and spread it onto my hair like I would apply conditioner. I left it on one hour. Part 2 of my review: I bought 2 more boxes because I just love this product. I don't want to put chemicals on my hair anymore. Also, it costs so much for commercial and beauty salon quality chemical hair dyes. Initially when I looked at the reviews on this product there were only 2 reviews, one was one star and one was 3 stars. Neither review had any comments at all, so no reason was given for the low reviews. I thought to myself it was probably because the herbal dye washes out easily, and that doesn't bother me at all because now that I'm 70 I don't wash my hair as often. I use to wash it every day. Now, Once every few weeks is fine. Also, this washed out gently for me, not dramatically. So, as it lightens it is just more golden blonde. It's not a stark difference with my gray grow out. It doesn't cover the gray completely but that is ok with me because it is blending well enough. I still give it 5 stars. Also, when I ordered the 2 boxes one box showed it was slightly expired so I contacted the seller through Amazon and they promptly replied and offered to send another box if I just showed a photo of the expiration. Initially I couldn't figure out how to do that so I gave the seller a low review and now I don't see how to change that......because later I saw an easy way to send them a photo along with my comments. Maybe, as a male, I should not have tried to use this product on my beard? Hoever, let me tell you this didn't work in any way shape or form. It did not adhere to my beard at all but completely rinsed out, left it entirely uncolored after 2 applications. Will toss 90% remaining in the bag.

I love the color that my hair came out. I had never used henna hair dye before but my hair had thinned and turned gray. I didn't want to use chemicals on my hair any longer. I tried Jiva Organic Herbal Hair Color (light brown) and love it. It took longer than regular hair dye but the color turned out much nicer. In fact it has been 5 weeks and my hair is still bright and shiny.

I tried this product on both my best friend and my hair. Follow the directions to a tee left it in for about 2 and 1/2 hours. She has very light brown hair and I bleached mine since I have dark brown hair. After washing out her hair didn't change any shade darker and mine looked like light brown colored cardboard. Was really hoping for a nicer color than what we got and it literally felt like putting warm mud in our hair it dried and literally fell out of our hair like dried mud. Very weird experience don't think I'll be trying a product like this again.

Do not approve this, "Jiva Organic Light Brown Hair Dye." It didn't dyed my hair at all. I lost my money and time trying to dye my hair with it. It doesn't even leave hair soft and shiney. Is it posible to get my money back? And can you recommend a better natural hair dye?

It worked really well, but my hair felt really dry after. So I used a lot of conditioner to soften my hair back up.

Definitely use coffee as the liquid instead of water because the color was blonde. Too light.

Does not work at all. No color . Wastage of time and money
