High quality, really good price
These are really good mussels for the price. I'd honestly compare them with Patagonia mussels, the quality is good and they're meticulously packed in rows of four for good consistency from can to can. The mussels are all similar size, each is of course a little different but they're all roughly the same. The smoke doesn't really taste like smoke to me, but there's definitely something other than just olive oil flavoring them - either way they taste great. The insides do have a bit of a mealy texture, but I actually kind of like it, and it's nothing surprising for anyone who has had mussels before. The meat of the mussel is plump and firm, not rubbery *at all*. I find the satiety from a can to be fairly high, which is good considering the calorie density is also quite high likely mostly owing to the oil that they're packed in. The quality to price ratio alone makes these 5 star mussels, and a few things make them uniquely great.

Highly recommend; tastes great, feels good, has big mussels, and costs less.
I really enjoy mussels and dishes with them, like seafood pasta and Belgian mussel soup. Usually, I go to Publix for fresh mussels because they're known for quality. But now that I've tried these smoked mussels, I might not need to buy mussels from Publix anymore. The main reason is that the smoky taste isn't too strong. Also, the texture is nice and chewy, like fresh mussels. Plus, each piece of mussel is big, maybe even bigger than Publix's. And the price is way lower (but natural because it's canned food). I'll definitely keep using these smoked mussels in my cooking unless I'm making something that doesn't go well with mussels in oil. It's a great alternative!

Fine but not great
The smokey flavor of these Otter Kingdom mussels is great! And I love that they are packed in olive oil. However, they are a little bland (no salt) so you have to season them when you open the tin. And the mussels are quite small and chewy. The oysters from this brand are much better. But I do appreciate that each can is 13 grams of protein. I will have no problem finishing all 12 cans, however I likely will not reorder them. They are fine, but not great.

Tasty, and somewhat good for you
I love these smoked mussels, especially on woven wheat crackers. If you like Otter smoked oysters you'll probably enjoy these mussels. And they a product of South Korea, not that "other" nearby place (if that is important to you).

Actually better than anticipated, very nice addition to my carnivore adjacent diet
Would give a 4.5 out of 5 but worth bumping up as a 4 would be too low. Texture on these mussels is a bit crumbly but not mushy, each tin is consistent and the mussels themselves are very clean with no beards nor sand. The smokiness is a bit more pronounced than I expected but still quite enjoyable. Purchased to enhance variety while on a carnivore adjacent diet while offering nutritional amendments not found in meats. Am in the process of trying any number of brands of smoked mussels so not sure which ones will end up as my favorites but buying these in bulk has saved me some money and I am glad to have these in my tinned fish rotation. Would definitely purchase again.

A bit bland.
Not as good as others I have ordered. Rather bland in smoke flavor.

Not terribly smoky but great mussels.
I was just as glad that these weren’t heavily smoked or worse yet, smoke flavor added. The flavor of the mussels comes through. I like the light olive oil in the can which has some juices from the canning process along with it. I eat them out of the can, or make a bowl of ramen noodles , a half packet of WUJIANG ZHACAI (SICHUAN PRESERVED VEGETABLE) and dump the can in, oil, juice and all. Makes s great lunch and doesn’t spike my blood sugar the way plain noodles do. Basically I Love These!

Tasty, but small portions
Very good, nice texture. The only bad thing is the cans of mussels are small, if you’re really hungry you’ll eat more than one can.
