Yes, they are thin and see-through, but that's okay with me because it makes them cooler and I never wear leggings without covering my butt anyway. As far as durability goes, I don't have high expectations for the price I paid, but we'll see. The only thing that would make me think twice about purchasing these again is the strong chemical stink. If that fades I'll be a happy camper. Just for reference, I'm 5'6, 130 lb, the small medium fits fine with a little room to spare.

They seem well made ... and they ARE "buttery soft".
I gotta say ... I really like these. I tend to wear baggy clothes, so I'm using them for an under layer while I'm traveling in a cooler climate. They are really comfortable. Very easy to put on/take off. (I don't want to think about the sweat shop people who are making them ... I HOPE they are being well treated.) I only gave 4 stars because I've only washed them once ... and we'll have to see how long they will last ... BUT so far so good.

Soft for leisure
The pants are buttery soft. I would say these are more for leisure than working out. I tried working out in them and it was too hot. But, if you are using them for leisure I would say these are definitely a great option. They weren’t sheer which is a common issue with leggings
