Saint Bernard approved 🐶🐾
I use this as a mix in with my Saint Bernard’s food and as a substitute treat if I run out. It’s cost prohibitive for me to feed him this food exclusively although I would like to, I am not independently wealthy. I do like that Katherine Heigle, who founded the company, has given pet owners other ideas and advice on how to feed their dogs. We have cut down on the kibble we were feeding him to feeding him Badlands, along with other mix ins of fruits, vegetables, rice and meats. She also advised on which foods to avoid. My Saint seems to very much like this food whether it is mixed with his kibble and mix ins or not. He is allergic to chicken so I am grateful for the beef version and he has not had any reactions. We put 2 cups on his food a day and this bag lasted 1 month. His 💩 is also not runny or hard pebbles suggesting constipation. I highly recommend this food. It’s spendy but definitely worth it if you want a healthy dog. You can also go to the website and they show you how to mix this food with other human food to graduate your pet to a better diet and away from the heated kibble that has unknown or unhealthy and inedible ingredients.

My puppy loves it .
Amazing. My 9 months old puppy he is very picky, I was having so much trouble with his regular palate food , but this product saved me . It is expensive but he likes it . I wish the price was little affordable for regular use.

My dogs say it tastes great.
It is a bit pricey, but my dogs love it. I like the fact that it is just beef and nothing else.

Love the ingredients but it’s cost is prohibitive
I love the ingredients and the preparation of BADLANDS RANCH BEEF SUPERFOOD COMPLETE. I have 2 German Shepherds aged 13 & 3 years old. My 13 year old has food allergies, digestive issues and is freaking picky!! My 3 year old weighs in at 100 pounds. There was zero digestive issues or itching from this food and my picky eater inhaled her bowl. My girls absolutely love BADLANDS RANCH!! That’s the good news….the bad news is the cost. According to the feeding instructions my 100 pounder should get be getting 3-4 cups a day. (Convert cups into ounces) 3 cups = 24 ounces and that is a whole bag of this food at a cost of $43. That’s $43 a day to feed one of two dogs!!! The monthly cost of, again only feeding one dog, is almost $1300. That’s insane bc we’re talking about DOG FOOD! My girls love this food so I use it as high value training treats instead of their primary food. I also use BADLANDS RANCH food when giving meds bc they don’t notice the meds while inhaling this food. The only reason I’m not giving this food 5 stars is the cost. I hope my review helps.

Fastest I’ve ever seen my dog eat !!
Wow received first shipment today and I have never seen my dog eat faster, then start licking the bowl. Smelt and looked like tiny very thin beef jerky. This is a 8lb Yorkie and absolutely no issues eating this food (was worried on some reviews saying hard for smaller dogs to eat). There were a few strips a little longer but they break in 1/2 very easily. Food is definitely not too hard.

Not affordable at all if you actually want your dog to eat this as dog food long-term
I bought a bag on Amazon which the dogs liked and I wanted to actually get a subscription on their website instead to keep feeding this to my dogs, but this was my disappointing experience: It seems like Katherine Hegel doesn’t care about making this dog food, easily accessible considering this dog food is NOT affordable for an average person— The misleading promotions, terrible customer service, confusing subscription options, and astronomical pricing have completely turned me off. Not to mention the reviews online mirror, the exact experience I had as a first time potential customer today and its evident that nothing has changed since she started this company a few years ago. Now I’m spending my time writing this ridiculous review instead of purchasing healthy food for my dogs, that should tell you something. SAD just SAD. As soon as I entered the website, I encountered a “spin the wheel” promotion that promised an unbelievable offer for my first purchase. Naturally, I spun the wheel, only to have the offer vanish without any explanation. This gimmick left me confused calling customer service for answers. My first call ended abruptly when the representative simply stopped talking mid-conversation. I called back, and the next rep was downright rude—insisting on my shipping and billing addresses (even though I hadn’t placed an order) just to explain why the promotion disappeared. She even warned that providing my billing address would get her in trouble before hanging up on me. After two exasperating hours and multiple calls, I finally spoke with a courteous representative who explained their subscription pricing in detail. That’s when I discovered that feeding my two dogs would cost about $300 a month. Their subscription model is baffling: you can only purchase bundles of 1, 3 or 6 bags, with discounts only applied to those specific bundles. For my needs—requiring 10-12 bags a month—the available options are not only impractical but also incredibly expensive. To add insult to injury, the bag sizes are ridiculously small. Each bag contains only 24 ounces—roughly the size of a treat bag—which is far too little for regular feeding. While a 64-ounce option is available on Amazon, it isn’t offered on their website or through the subscription service. Amazon prices are actually more expensive in comparison to their astronomical subscription prices. Ultimately, while the dog food itself may be nutritionally sound, the overall experience—from the misleading promotions to the unhelpful customer service and convoluted pricing structure—has left me with no desire to continue as a customer. I expected a brand backed by Katherine Heigl’s advocacy to care about its customers, but based on my experience today (and the echo of similar reviews), it’s clear that this isn’t the case. Also, please consider that your customer service reps do not seem very happy. I spoke to five different reps today, including a supervisor who made it pretty clear that they have no autonomy to make customers happy.

Good for the dogs. Not so good on my checkbook.
Pricey, but dog energy has increased and they like the food but that is true of nearly anything edible.

Too high of a price for too little of amount!!!!
This rating is based on price. The product and quality of this dog food seems to be pretty great. But its crazy how i paid $45 for a 24 ounce bag. This only lasted me a few days. Not even a week. I also got him some of the toppers treats. Pricy too bit i didnt feel robbed buying that as opposed to the dog food. Its too pricy to be able to go from the decent quality of food i was previously serving him (taste of the wild salmon) and i paid $65 for a big 28 lbs that would last me close to a month to this? I would be paying at least $100 a week for the 3 bags together. Its crazy. Wish i could but i will have to consider something just as good but a bit cheaper.
