Exactly as Described
This product works exactly as described. I put it on my trash cans yesterday because I have a big problem with the wind blowing the lids open. The wind also blows the cans over and the lid opens and the trash falls out and blows around the neighborhood. This strap is exactly what I needed, it is a good value and appears to be of high quality.

NO MORE RACOONS!
I had raccoons visiting my bins on a regular basis. I strapped this onto my garbage bin and it solved the problem. It’s nice and sturdy, simple to use and a great value for the price.

I don’t think any solution could be easier than this strap. It’s very plain but fits really well and keeps the lid TIGHT. I’ve used this for several weeks and haven’t seen my trash eating buddy 🦝 since. I feel good because I know this won’t hurt animals and poses no danger to humans. +A

Does NOT fix, was useless
Product was useless, I tried to use this to help keep my trash bin closed so critters wouldn't get in. The length is way too short, the buckle piece wouldn't even fit the bar like it shows in the picture. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone unless you have a very small outdoor trash bin. (Does NOT fit 30 gallon trash bin as description states)

Works as advertised, snug fit. I unlatch it on garbage day, to insure the lid opens for truck. Haven’t gone through extreme cold yet to give a review on that.

Fits securely. Not hard to connect
I ordered this to keep animals out of my trash and it does just that. All trash cans I’ve seen have the metal bar to attach it to. No instructions so watch video to see how I did it.

Works well if used without constant exposure to the sun
These work well overall but the straps seem to easily get damaged in the sun so if you're planning on storing your trash beans in the sun with these straps on, be aware that they will eventually lose their elasticity and fall apart.

Great to keep racoons out
Strong and durable in the Florida weather. I should get one for all my neighbors to help deter the racoons from around me too.

So far keeping Toronto raccoons out
Took me a bit to figure out how to set it up, but it works well on even the larger bins in raccoon-plagued Toronto. 4 nights in, haven't had any animals get in. Will it still work when frozen? Who knows.
