herbs are a powerful medicine i find this is a great addition to the aresenal of herbs vitamins and minerals that keepmy sanity
First of all i want to say this is medicine. Herbs are medicine. Not everyone will react the same just like when you go get doctors medication. Dont confuse this with blue cohosh which is an entirely different thing, as that can give heart problems. Im just in the early stages i didnt know because i do not have hot flashes yet. I didnt know why all of a sudden i was batshit crazy and moody where nothing is right in the world. Upon realizing the crazy was from this hormonal loop de loop casting shade on my cheerful moods because my onset of wisdom years are setting in. I first started with progestacare lotion which made me feel like how an addict might feel when they shoot up, it gave me such relief within 10 minutes, im sensitive to my bodys energy and emotions and very in tune so it may not help in that way for you, i also use maca and vitanica womens phase 2 for menopausal support. I bought this because i was "off my meds" persay (went camping didnt take my aresenal with and got desperate for somemor help )i see my supplements as meds. This is a good addition because i dont have black cohosh in my routine. Two days in of being back on those meds i feel really balanced already. I take an aresenal of around 14 capsuls within a day. (2 of these remifeminin included ) It may seem much to some but I dont belive that allopathic medicine gets it right most of the time with the exception of penicillian discovery and a few other modern conveniences it offers. herbs, vitamins and minerals are my medicine, herbs are medicine, they are strong and powerful helpers, and some will work and some do really have side effects and sometimes you have to alter them and find a combination. (You hear all the time psychiatrists alterning meds for their patients becasue theyre not a correct cocktail) You may find a combination that works for you, becasue never mind those hot flashes its those dam mood swings and crazy all over feeling. And i teach yoga so thats such an oxymoron right there! Good luck let me know what combinations you have found to work for yourself. I will update if i find more from this supplement you need to know,

This stuff is legit!
This stuff is the real deal! I’ve been using it for about 3–4 months now, and let me tell you — at 51, perimenopause had me feeling like I was starring in a nightly horror show: sweaty, sleepless, and ready to body-slam innocent bystanders for no good reason. So I figured, why not give this product a whirl before I start handing out folding chairs like it’s WrestleMania? Fast forward to now: I’m sleeping like a baby (a baby who doesn’t wake up every hour drenched in sweat), the night sweats have ghosted me, and I no longer feel like I need an entrance theme just to walk into a room. Give it a few days — it’s not instant magic, but it’s pretty close. Highly recommend!

Blood in Stool
I know there are people who say it doesn't work but wonder about them. Give it a long term decent chance. Some things can take weeks or months before having any effect on your system. I find that it reduces flushing for me and helps me achieve a really deep restful sleep. Low levels of Vitamin D can also leave you and your bed sweaty and damp so get that checked. I like the peppermint smell and taste of these tiny flat tablets - especially since Black Cohosh naturally smells pretty foul. The butterfly stamp on the pills also makes them easy to identify. The package says to take 2 per day but I just take 1 at bedtime. Each pill is 20mgs. I've tried the other brand, Estroven, which actually comes in a higher milligram amount but doesn't work for me. Maybe less is more? Anyway, I recommend this even for perimenopause and will buy again. Remifemin is the one. The Physicians Desk Reference puts out a book on all prescription medications - warnings and uses, and also put a book out for Herbal Medicine. It's online so search for it. You should read it and tell your physician about this. If an adverse reaction occurs (rare) they wont be in the dark wondering what to do for you. I keep mine in a used pill bottle that is clearly labeled. ***UPDATE I*** I'm perimenopausal. After two months of taking 1 tablet daily I've had regular (i.e. on time) but light menstrual cycles. Before, my cycle would be absent for months, be unpredictable in flow, and arrived whenever. This just seemed to regulate things. So, for what it's worth, if it's something you'd like or you know someone trying to conceive late in life, this may be the ticket. It is not a hormone but does trick the body into functioning very much in the same way Estrogen does. ***UPDATE II*** Shortly after re-starting this (can't always afford it) I began to notice blood in my stool. It could be any number of things from polyps to something more serious. Before embarking on a colonoscopy, I decided to stop taking this and see what happened. No blood since stopping this. Will continue to update.

Truly Effective for Hot Flashes!
I've been using Remifemin Menopause Symptom Relief for a few weeks now, and I can honestly say it's made a big difference—especially when it comes to hot flashes. I was skeptical at first, but I started noticing a reduction in both the frequency and intensity of my hot flashes within the first couple of weeks. What I love most is that it's a natural, hormone-free supplement, so I feel good about taking it daily. It’s easy to incorporate into my routine, and I haven't experienced any negative side effects. If you're going through menopause and struggling with symptoms like hot flashes, I definitely recommend giving Remifemin a try. It worked great for me!

Have your liver enzymes checked!!
I took hormone replacement for 5 years which worked fantastic for my hot flashes and other menopause symptoms but decided to stop taking them due to a very high incidence of breast cancer in my family. I am a nurse practitioner student and thought I would try these Remifemin products because there is at least a very small amount of evidence that they are helpful (many herbal products have none!) I was using the day time product and sometimes the night time one too. My hot flashes and night sweats decreased noticeably, although they did not disappear completely like they did while taking estrogen/progesterone. I was content to continue taking them until I had some routine blood work done and found out my liver enzymes were elevated (meaning something was damaging my liver). I am not overweight, don't drink, and was taking no other medications or supplements. My hepatitis panel was negative - there was nothing else that would have been causing this. I stopped taking Remifemin immediately and had my labs rechecked 6 weeks later and they had returned to normal. As it turns out, there are many documented cases of Black Cohosh (the active ingredient in Remifemin) causing liver toxicity. We like to think that "natural" products are harmless & without risks, but that is simply not the case. If you are going to take this product on a regular basis (or any herbal product), I strongly suggest you have your liver enzymes checked after a month to make sure you are not damaging your liver.
