Exactly as described, old pcb from broken fob fits perfectly and the fact it came with the battery is great

Does the job
An easy and cost effective fix for a key with broken buttons. Although the replacement does have a slot for the ignition transponder (without which, the car won't start), it looks like there's nothing to stop it sliding out of the slot. I suppose it could be held in place with a drop of glue or blu tack but I figured it's easier to use the original Toyota key base and just use the new half (with the buttons). Also, a flat blade screw driver is supplied but the original and replacement screws are cross head. It was, however, handy for levering apart the shell halves and pushing out the old battery. I used my Rolson 9-in-1 screwdriver for the screws. Definitely needed the replacement battery!

Quick and easy to fit
Bought this replacement for a Toyota Aygo 2005 key fob as the buttons on the original had completely disintegrated. It took me no more than five minutes to swap the board and battery over into the replacement (including the time taken to take apart the original. Works perfectly and no significant difference between this and the original Toyota one. Great value replacement.

Poor materials and design
Housing does not keep the key stable, slightly shorter housing for the metal key, not as tight or hard a polymer as the original, as a result of this the key blade moves about 2mm when turned. This will only get worse with time. Fob opens and closes the car very well, buttons are well aligned. Electronics fit perfectly. Cheaper softer polymer and loose slot for the cut metal key are very poorly designed resulting in a loose fitting fob.

Perfect fit
Fitted perfectly onto my Aygo car key (2014) & it actually feels far superior & sturdier than original that had burst over time. Definitely worth five stars
