I have never written a swimsuit review before, but I had to for this one—it’s that good! As a plus-size woman, I usually dread swimsuit shopping because nothing ever seems to flatter my curves and feel supportive at the same time. But this Blooming Jelly swim dress totally blew my expectations out of the water. 🌊 I’m a size 26 with a larger bust and tummy, and this suit made me feel SNATCHED in the best way. The wrap-style bust is incredibly flattering and actually holds the girls up without digging into my shoulders. The built-in cups provide great lift and shape, and there’s even some light tummy control in the midsection that smooths everything out without being uncomfortable or tight. It honestly feels like a gentle hug. The ruffle sleeves and skirted bottom are game changers. They add a feminine, flirty touch without feeling frumpy. The length of the skirt is perfect—long enough to feel covered and confident, but short enough to still look cute and swim-friendly. The deep green color is rich and luxe in person, and the mesh peekaboo hem at the bottom is just chef’s kiss sexy while still classy. The fabric is soft, stretchy, and high-quality. It doesn’t feel cheap or like it’ll stretch out after a few wears. It dries quickly and holds up well in both pool water and ocean saltwater. No weird fading or sagging. And I love that I can throw a wrap over it and wear it like a summer dress straight from the beach to lunch. If you’ve been nervous about swimsuit shopping or you’re tired of feeling self-conscious in your swimwear, get this suit. It checks every box: it’s flattering, supportive, comfortable, and adorable. I felt confident, sexy, and like my true self in it—and that’s saying a lot for swimwear.

Out of five maternity suits I tried on this was actually the best one that I kept for our trip. It gives belly room but still has a nice fit and like a see through kind of skirt which adds a nice sexy/demure touch to the look. That’s nice because I’m already sporting a big belly that I’m not in love with the size of but is set off in a stylish way. And nice coverage/support for my chest while not covering completely.

I highly recommend this swim dress. I love the compression it has, keeping everything in place. I am 3 1/2 months postpartum. After giving birth to my 2nd child, I have newfound back fat right under the shoulder blades, a lot more cellulite on my upper thighs and I have a sagging belly due to carrying the biggest baby ever (9lb + lots of amniotic fluid) for my body’s frame (5’1”). Delivery weight was 195lbs. I used to be 150lbs size 8 med. But now I’m 175lbs size 10 Large. I was super insecure about what bathing suit to wear with my new body. But this is looking and feeling amazing! 🤩 I bought this in a size large. The stretchy chiffon-like overlay is covering up a lot while still giving see through. It’s hiding the cellulite. The fabric is strong, compressing the back fat. The bra cups are great and feel supported. This burgundy is my favorite color. I wear it a lot so buying it in this color was a no brainer. The color matched the description picture. This swim dress was totally worth the money.

This swimsuit is really comfortable and cute. I love how long the dress part comes down and actually covers your thighs. I did find the torso a bit short; if they're making them for bigger gals, they should put a bit more material in that section. Because the torso was short, I really had to pull it taught in the crotch, which, the mesh dress part covered well so you couldn't tell there, but more of my chest was exposed than I wanted, and I have boobs, but they're not large in proportion to my body. To my fellow curvy friends; keep this in mind if you've got a long or full torso and big boobies. It wasn't bad enough to not still overall really like the swimsuit though. And, modest enough to wear without a towel walking through the resort.

I wear a Medium/Large but like a little room so I bought an XL and was surprised to find it was a near perfect fit. I’m petite and carry my weight in my gut thanks to PCOS but it was pretty well fitted all over, so it really runs quite small. I like to wear more coverage as I’m very pale and burn easy. It has shape wear in it that can make the flowy silky part stick awkwardly but otherwise it’s very flattering and covers my thighs and upper arms without looking like I’m as afraid of the sun as I actually am. I wish I had gotten a pattern or black because the red in my opinion is very pretty but shows the sticking issue a bit more than I would have liked. But I’m a bit of a baby about flow so I think I’m really just nitpicking here. All in all it’s honestly a very nice swimsuit. Very secure. I took out the bra padding because I’m a D cup and it made the top feel a little tight but I think I could have honestly left it in without suffering.

This arrived on time and looked great out of the package. After washing the black faded all over the white and it looks terrible. Fit is true to size.
