Better Than Bouillon , No Chicken Base, Vegan Certified 8 Oz.

I'm a pescatarian but not a vegan, but just by chance many of the things I cook at home are vegan with some exceptions. The first pot of this I bought had nothing to do with veganism but I'm a big fan of chicken noodle soup but have not obviously had chicken noodle soup for a long time (over 40 years). I used some fake chicken and then all the usual chicken noodle soup ingredients and then used this as a base. and to be honest with you, it was amazing. The main issue I have with this is the fact that it is super expensive and something that I treat myself to rather than use due to the high price. I don't believe this is Amazon's fault so much as the importing from the producer in America and everything that goes with that. I've run out of this frequently and often months go past before I buy another jar. Usually when I pine for it. I'd like to see a UK or European supplier come up with something very close to this as a stock as it is probably the best vegetable stock I've ever used and I've honestly used a huge amount over my life. The big stock cube suppliers in the UK don't come close to this IMO

This really is a very good boullion/stock concentrate. It’s not always easy to find a nice vegan one that isn’t full of maltodextrin and other additives. A little bit of this goes a long way, which is just as well as it wasn’t cheap when I bought it. I will definitely buy it again.

This is the absolute best plant based stock on the market. I use it for gravy and stews as well as in my home made seitan. It’s expensive but nothing else touches it.

I was totally obsessed with this vegan boullion when I was in the USA (I bought a suitcase of it back to the UK!). So happy to be able to buy it here. It's a canned-chicken-soup type of flavour, with a good umami depth. I use it to make a vegan chicken pie filling, in soups and stews and to add extra seasoning to lemon-garlic roast potatoes. Knocking of one star because at this price point is more of a treat than a cupboard staple (which is what boullion is, no?). Good thing one jar lasts a decent amount of time - one teaspoon goes a long way.

I use all Better Than Bullion products as a base for soups, stews, chili, etc. as well as for an umami boost. Better Than Bullion products, including the Not Chicken product, has a much fresher taste and are seasoned better than anything that comes in a box. As an added bonus, you can make them as weak or as strong as you want and as salty as you want. That kind of control is invaluable when you are trying to get your food to taste just right. Just dissolve is hot water and you have first rate stock. Forget the Use By date. This stuff lasts forever in your refrigerator. One caveat: if you are adding some Better Than Bullion to a soup or stew already made, ladle out some liquid into a small bowl; then add the Better Than Bullion to the bowl and whisk until it dissolves completely. Then pour the contents of the bowl back into your soup or stew. If you don't you might get some undissolved clumps. I will never use a cube or a box again.

I love all of the Better Than Bouillon products. The extreme flavor is a perfect addition to any recipe.

This bouillon is AMAZING! I use it when cooking tofu and it adds just the right amount of saltiness and flavor. It makes everything taste so much better — I’m already planning to try the beef one next.

Long-time vegetarian here. This gives the depth of flavor and unctuousness that was missing from some dishes. It's a little pricey but I won't be without it now.
