Naturtint Permanent Hair Colour Gel 6.7 Dark Chocolate Blonde, Plant Enriched, Biobased, Ammonia Free, Long Lasting Grey Coverage and Radiant Colour, Nourishment and Protection

Best hair colour I’ve ever used, bar none! I started to go grey at 23 so at 50 I needed to avoid chemicals for health reasons but also I could not be bothered with dying it anymore, so I cut my long hair and started growing it out...only to find, two years later, that my grey is very uneven, starting from still brown at the top, then grey to white at the sides...kinda like Paulie from The Sopranos. Nice! The reason I’m telling you this is to give you an impression of what a challenge I was to this hair colour; in addition to the sporadic greys and whites, I’ve still got about an inch of what looks pretty black still, at the ends. I paint a gorgeous picture...one upside to lockdown. My problem has always been that my hair super-absorbs colour; my hairdresser would use light brown and it would look black. So, never having had the colour I wanted (always wanted a dark chocolate colour) and with four different colours on my poor old noggin, I approached this colour with very little hope....only to find my prayers answered! I now have chocolate brown hair, thanks to this fabulous product and the coverage has been excellent, with the very black ends only slightly noticeable, blending in well but of course they’ll be chopped off ASAP. The coverage on my pure white wings is phenomenal so I’ve just bought my next box. My confidence (and to be honest appearance!) is much improved and I’m absolutely delighted. I highly recommend this colour to you. I would just say that, based on the name of my colour, to probably choose a shade lighter than the colour you hope to achieve; I bought this expecting it to be quite dark and it is, although it has the chocolate tones rather than looking black, which is exactly what I want but if you’re looking for a lighter brown, based on this, I’d advise heading into the blonde colours. If you have lots of mid grey to white and want a dark chocolate colour then I’d say look no further and hope your experience is as positive as mine.🤞💞

Brilliant hair dye , great coverage and nice colour, I went for dark as blonde as I find light brown goes too dark on my hair , this colour is like the colour I want which is a natural brown colour without any brassiness

These dyes are great, but I bought the dark ash blonde to neutralize the orangey tones in my hair and it hasn’t, it’s more warm dark blonde than an ash tone. So, disappointed in the colour, but the dye itself as a brand is one I use regularly and would recommend.

I prefer Naturtint hair colour over any other since I worked in a health store and started using it. I have naturally dark brown-black hair with shades of chestnut in the sunshine, and originally used the Natural Chestnut colour dye and it was exactly that, natural looking. It didn't make my hair look witchy dark, it looked completely natural and shiny. But within the last 5 years, these Naturtint colours seem to have got darker and darker, as other reviewers have also mentioned. So, now I've moved from Natural Chestnut to Light Chocolate Chestnut, to using Light Golden Chestnut, and friends have told me to stick to this colour now. I also noticed that it fades more quickly (even the darker Natural Chestnut colour) but that's okay. My hair is obviously also changing with age. I usually have to do a root dye every 6-8 weeks. It's easy and quick to apply and use and causes no reactions in my usually sensitive skin/scalp.

This product is NOT gentle and does NOT cover grays. I've used many products over the years with varied results and eventually discovered Herbatint Gel (very good!!) Sadly I wasn't able to get stock of my regular Herbatint so set out to find the closest alternative and kept being directed to Naturtint Permanent Hair Colour Gel. As always, I followed the instructions to the T only for my heart to sink when it came to rinsing off the product and I felt the super-dry, damaged sensation that harsh dyes create. On drying my hair me heart sunk even deeper when I saw that my natural colour had been stripped to a gingery shade and my grays remained gray. Seems like the actual colour serum didn't work and so much for all the 'gentle' ingredients!!!!

I'm really happy with how this hair dye looks on my hair. I wanted an ash blonde colour to apply to just the center of my roots covering the grey. It needed to blend in with the white hair at the sides of my head and blonde at the ends from where I dyed it last summer. Its done that really well, and the grey is covered and the colour is light, but not too harsh . Now I'm in my fifties I find blonde dye tends to be too bright for my skin tone, and wrecks my hair, but I hate the dull grey that my roots have now become. I had just resigned myself to having grey hair until it went completely white. I found this dye on Amazon, and having read the reviews, decided to just do part of my roots with it -in the middle and at the back of my head, and underneath. I left it on for half an hour and made sure it didn't go on the ends or the white hair at the sides of my head. I wasn't sure how that would look, but it looks great.

This works, although you have to leave it on slightly longer to cover a different hair colour or roots. When u leave it on longer than 30 mins (plus the application time), hair feels slightly stiff/damaged afterwards. Instrutions are not clear as to how long it should take you to apply it, as obviously the first strands you apply the dye on are getting an extra 10-15 mins on top of the 30 mins development time and then another 10 mins if you leave it on slightly longer as advised, to treat stubborn roots etc so that may be too long - but as i said, instructions are not clear! Also, the new formula leaves hair a little greasy, after rincing, even if you apply no serum or oil afterwards. I therefore need to wait till the next wash to style it in the normal way. I think it may be the conditioner, but obviously that's needed to seal the colour in. UPDATE: I have since scanned the product code on the Yuka App and it doesnt fare well at all, so i have subtracted a star. Having said that this product has minimal smell although your scalp does itch a little with use. They sell a cream version, which has the most horrendous application smell but Yuka rates that version much higher, and that product does seem to work a bit better, with hair been left in better condition. It is sold on amazon too.

I’ve been using for many years it’s the only hair colour I can use as I’m allergic to other hair dyes that contain parabens. I like the range of natural colours. Makes hair silky and shiny

This product is great especially if you have sensitive skin! I have sensitive skin, try to use as natural products as possible & have multiple allergies etc. I am celiac so very important I be gluten free. This product i have used several times, the scent is very light in comparison to other products and hasn't bothered me yet and my skin felt a little burny/itchy first time i did it but went away very quickly and after that I was fine. It covers my greys(which I've had greys since my teens, a genetic thing) & I really recommend this product. It doesn't last a super long time it starts to fade a bit after a month and after about two months is out and i wash my hair a few times a week at most so it doesn't last as long maybe as chemical products bht that is fine as it is worth it to me since it doesn't bother my skin, uses more natural ingredients and the smell isn't atrocious like most hair dyes and it does cover it great! I continue to use this product and typically redo it every 2-4 months.

My hair be come yellow. I disappointed. It's not same color what mentioned in the box. Also I feel a burning sensation. Its very bad product. Its not ash blonde, its yellow color. Very bad .
