Best first air fryer purchase you could make.
Absolutely perfect, easy to use, once you learn how to program and sync both drawers mealtimes will become effortless.

Mixed feelings about this bigtime...
I bought this, because I wanted to make cooking easier. It's my first air fryer, so maybe shouldn't have gone for a dual drawer, differing sizes, without much knowledge of using one perhaps? blah blah... However, I'm not a novice in the kitchen, so I won't be too harsh on myself.. What I will say is this.. nothing cooks in this thing in the time the instructions state. Also the buttons are clunky. Multiple presses and messing about. Sometimes, not registering. Not user friendly in any way. So far, cooking chicken of any size, drumstick/thigh in under 20mins, or as advised by 'people online', is impossible. This immediately causes confusion, because you then don't know if you can trust anything else the instructions tell you... This also makes any syncing of times useless, because the initial timing is wrong. One side might be cooked, but the other was not timed right. Thanks Tefal. Great instructions. On we go.... Example: Frozen chips, 25-40mins. Homemade, 35-40mins. This is PAGE 2 of the handout. Next page of the same instructions.... tells you to cook a full chicken in one tray and Homemade CHIPS in the other compartment for 50mins. So which is it? 25-40, 35-40, or 50mins? Pathetic. BTW - Turns out it's none of them!!! .... frozen chips for me, after much toil, is same temp as packet instructions and for a few mins less than you normally would in the oven. So about 19-22mins. My homemade chips came out terrible. Hardly surprising, when you have a chef in a booklet telling you to cook things for the wrong time/temp and still expect perfection. Trust me, use the instructions and you will end up ruining meals, or poisoning yourself. Especially with meats/fish. Never been turned off by a device so quickly and in all honesty. PAGE TWO of the instructions tells you that FROZEN drumsticks take 22min on highest temp. No they don't. Mine weren't even frozen, they were fresh drumsticks/thighs, and took 35-40mins from the fridge. So how can FROZEN take 22minutes? Honestly Tefal? So, why couldn't Tefal spend some time on the instructions? Why does every video online and in cookbooks, give times that this thing just doesn't replicate? How can one fryer cook something at the same temp for less time, but this one needs ten more minutes, or a random guess, because nobody actually knows? Wish I had done more research tbh. I even bought an air fryer cookbook, but now I understand how confusing this model is for timing, I cannot trust any of the timings given in those recipes. Do people who own air fryers, really buy one, because they want to spend more time checking if something is cooked than ever before, making the actual purpose of it, futile? I certainly didn't expect that hassle. Impossible to give this 5stars, because you are set up to fail by the instructions and by the time you make sense of how it works and not ruin the food, you lose interest and confidence in it's ability. In summary, I'm not impressed. It's amazing how many different models, temps and times for the same thing you get. Either the videos are all liars and just trying to make engagement profits, or this air fryer isn't very good and can't cook in good time like the others. If Tefal have devised a specific model that 'works differently' than others - then have the dang decency to provide working instructions, or formula for your device. The pamphlet with this model destroys the enjoyment and my trust in the product. Is it broken? No, the instructions are. The concept is. It's there to be used as something, but you can't really use it without ruining dozens of meals first. If your thing is opening the tray every two mins, utterly confused as to why it's taking so long despite 'recommended cooking time' elapsing 15mins ago, then buy this. Otherwise, I think I've made a mistake and should have gone for a different model. Instructions are so bad, they should have just put a sign with 'figure it out yourself' on it. Would have been more useful.

Very useful and well designed product
We are very please indeed with this item. As a family of 4 but with some folks out at some meal times, the flexibility of having two different sized draws is excellent. The small draw uses less than 1000 watts, and you can just about fit a half leg of lamb (wrapped in foil) in there. So you can cook a joint for a fraction of the electricity compared to what a standard oven uses. If you cut the end of the bone off a full leg of lamb, you can get that in the big draw, you can get a medium sized chicken in the big draw. Meanwhile, to a different schedule, you can be doing your roast potatoes or whatever in the other draw. Of course you can cook chips, hash browns, burgers, fish fingers, bacon and everything else you would expect from an air fryer in it as well. We found an air fryer recipie for (well known brand) fried chicken and it worked great in this fryer. So much less grease too. You can sync the two draws to work together or independently set temperatures and times for them. We also have a Ninja which has more functions like pressure cooker, which the Tefal does not have, but the Tefal is so much easier to clean. The non stick surfaces are still really slippy after a year of use. Its not too heavy to move around if you have limited cooking space on your worktop. If I was to level one criticism.... Tefal should see if they can insulate the heat losses better from the sides, top and back. It does get quite warm on the outside and better insulation would reduce electricity costs further. Really, really please with this item! We hardly used the regular oven these days.
