Magic box, almost don't understand how it works
This thing doesn't require any drainage of water. You just have to change the pellets every 6 months or so depending on usage.Food waste goes in, compost comes out, doesn't smell and can be used indoors. It truly feels like a magic box and I still don't understand where the water goes because it doesn't have any visible vents and it doesn't feel humid around the box. Was bought for us as a present, and we in turn were so impressed we also bought it as a present for others. Can't recommend enough!

Worked great for 6 months and then completely broke
6 Month Update: Totally stopped working. I have gone through all of the troubleshooting steps to no avail. Seems like others have the same problem within the same timeframe. Wish I didn't purchase this product for it to stop working so soon.I was hesitant to buy this at first because I wondered how well it would actually work, how limited it would be on the food waste it can take, etc. I have been blown away. It is small, looks chic, fits neatly into the corner of our kitchen counter, has no odor, and runs very quietly when it is on (about a third to a quarter of the noise as a dishwasher). On top of that, it has been able to process nearly everything I have thrown at it--meat, egg shells, melon rinds, bread--even dead flowers and plants. After a few hours I've got a bucket of dirt that I use in my flower beds and inside planters. Not only that, but because there's no food sitting in the trash, we don't have fruit flies anymore. The only thing I would say to be careful of is if you have a pet (we have a dog), they will smell the dirt initially as food and might try to eat it. Our dog did this once so whenever we put the dirt on our inside planters, I sprinkle cayenne on top of it and we haven't had an issue since.

Wonderfully satisfying and fun!
This machine is so fun. It's large enough to handle up to a week's worth of scraps for our family. It looks elegant and is simple to use. The bucket is really easy to clean, just wipe it out with a damp cloth after each use. And the smell of the fresh mulch is wonderful! We keep a bin beside the machine to collect our scraps throughout the week. That way the machine doesn't get moldy waiting to be run.Be sure to chop hard pieces (like tomato vines) or stringy scraps (like celery) into smaller chunks so you don't jam the machine. But if it does get stuck, it just stops and you simply soak it and clean it out in the morning.Gotta be careful not to put in too much sweet or wet things (like water melon). The sugar will cause the compost to get rock hard and the machine will error out. But again, a short soak and rinse fixes everything.A monthly water (steam) clean (following the instructions) will keep it in great condition. Also if you notice an odd smell when it's running, it simply needs a filter change (usually every 6 months or so). Charcoal pellets are available by the bag, so that's cheap and easy, too!I've had this about 8 months and still love it. It's a quality product!UPDATE: It stopped working in our 2nd year of weekly use. I changed the filter and did everything I could think of to get it to work again, with no luck. I contacted the company directly, asking them for advice. They asked me for my Amazon proof of purchase, then informed me that I was still under their 18 month warranty (I was actually 1 week over). So they sent me a brand new machine! VERY HAPPY with their customer service, and I still love this composter. Looking forward to another year or two of using it! 🤩

Didn't last, unfortunately!
Disappointed! This composter worked for about 6 months. Purchased in November '24, used once to twice weekly until April as my "Winter Composter" it worked only one last time when I needed to use it beginning September '25. So did it die of inactivity?? It's not heating up anymore, and after a few hours it goes into E1 fault. I loved this composter and highly promoted it amongst family and friends. Now I feel like I betrayed Mother Nature. Add this piece of machinery to the long list of failed modern inventions that end up in land fills. I'm sorry I ever fell for this idea. These things are too expensive and longevity too short for me to repurchase. I'm resigned to compost outside again when winter returns.

Easy to use
We've had ours for 8 months without a problem. With use one discovers what best NOT to include: it will do for instance, banana peels, even bananas but leave a heavy film on the basket so we don't put bananas in or melons. Melons are mostly water - they take up a lot of room but shrink down to almost nothing so we don't put either of these in the composter. I saw a picture here of someone who reported that it didn't dry out the waste. Either there was too much water or goo or the heating unit was defective because it says specifically you cannot put things like soup or liquids into the composter. Put in just things like vegetable peelings, egg shells, coffee grinds and things that are listed on the booklet. See if it works then. You wouldn't put in batter or sugary items either. Having said this - our "filter" light is blinking. The charcoal seems fine so I'm not sure what we are supposed to do. It's working fine though. I would definitely recommend this composter.

Worked Great… Until It Broke
I really liked this composter while it was working! It was easy to use, worked great at processing food scraps, and made dealing with kitchen waste much more convenient. Unfortunately, it broke after a short period of use, which was really disappointing. For the price, I expected it to last much longer. Great concept and performance when it works, but the durability is a major concern.

It's OK
Had to replace filters within 2 weeks and after replacing I see I will have to replace them frequently. But the device but she works really well.

It works amazingly well.
The size is perfect. I had seen ads for similar products that were bigger and more expensive. This is a good size and fits into my kitchen. Depending on what you put into it and when you run it, there can be a smell to it, but I did not find it unpleasant. Actually, we just turn it on before bed and avoid any smell at all. I would recommend this for anyone who has plants or just wants to be a good steward of the earth!

Doesn’t look like soil - just a mush that’s not useful
I tried two batches using this but it just looks like sludge and nothing like the dried soil that it looks like on the product photo.I don’t think it heats it up properly so that it doesn’t dry out enough. I can’t see how anyone would use it as compost on their house plants. It looks revolting. It even leaves a lot of solid bits in it so it doesn’t break it down properly. Also the plug is for the USA. I had to get an adapter to use it in Australia.I contacted the company asking for help but no one got back to me and I couldn’t find any information on how to work it properly. It’s been a complete waste of money. Definitely do not recommend.
