This is a blast - so long as you have lots of room to run it
From the videos that I watched before making this investment, it was obvious that Losi spent a lot of time designing and perfecting this RC motorcycle. I don't think there's a single part that was repurposed for the bike, even down to the shocks and gears. What's most impressive is the stability of the bike, thanks to the onboard gyroscope that's center mounted. This motorcycle is not the easiest to use right out of the box. You'll need to run through several battery charges before you'll feel more confident in your ability to run it without too many spills and endos (when the bike flips forward end over end). The side stabilizer bars aren't useful on straight runs but on turns they're almost indispensable. Right now, parts are easy to find and the arms can be upgraded to the better design on the Promoto SM version. I didn't make many upgrades, but I did replace the front mostly plastic brake with one of better quality and grip. I also replace the front and rear axles, mostly for looks and not for function. Give yourself some time to master the controls on the remote. Experimentation, and reading the instruction manual fully and maybe a few times will yield a better experience when you take the bike out for a run. Battery life isn't that long when compared to other RC vehicles, but remember that you're not only running a motor and servo but also a gyroscope. With that amount of load, expect run time to be around 12 minutes. Carry a few packs with you if you want to spend more time playing. Yes, the bike is expensive, but the price/fun ratio scores very high. As far as room to run, this bike can hit 42mph, so give yourself a lot of room to roam.
